East Division Semifinal: Philadelphia (E2) vs Albany (E3)

Barely 36 hours after finishing the longest game in AHL history, Albany and Philadelphia were at it again on Saturday afternoon. Michael Leighton followed up his 98-save effort in Thursday's five-overtime loss with a 40-save shutout and Kirk MacDonald scored 10:38 into OT to give Albany a 1-0 win and push the teams' East Division semifinal series to the limit.

Yeah, we need a better fanbase badly. I almost wanted to cry as a hockey fan last season when DORA THE FREAKING EXPLORER drew more fans than the Stanley Cup.

Hell, who knows, maybe if we can pull one out of our ***** and win the Calder Cup we'll start drawing more back, but I think that after 97 or so, NJ stopped putting anybody remotely good in, and thus, killed Albany's fanbase.

There are so many hockey players in the albany area that it's insane that we can't get more people to rats games. they really need to work on drawing the crowds in...like hotter looking ice girls and cheaper beer.
