Brutal game.. Just like the other night.. Our "top" 2 lines are dead..

I dont know whats wrong with Kovy..

I cant stand Ryder anymore..

Latendresse has to get his ass kicked..

Brisebois cant play more than 2 straight games..

There will be changes in the line-up for game #4 no doubt..

No need to worry, guys, we're still winning this series. We'll take the wind out of their sails soon enough.

Actually its 2-1. Those first games don't mean jack squat now. Especially that Boston has show they can beat the Habs.

Most frustrating thing as I saw the penalty call to Smoke and then I knew they were going to score as our defensive coverage broke down. I turned off the t.v. as fast as I could and I wanted to go down here onto the computer, but it was in use Didn't want to turn on my XBOX ;cause the lastthing I wanted to see or take part in was more hockey.. so I sat in the dark for a moment.. it was depressing.. I just want to see the Montreal Canadiens, not skilled players who think they can get by on skill alone.

The defensive play has been average. 3, 2, 1 goals is what Bruins score on any given 3 games. The difference with our regular season has been our offense has not been up to speed. Among other tweaks, take out Dandenault and put Grabovski in.

Yeah and we almost put it to bed early in the ot a couple of times, no need to panic but I think we have been average this whole series so far I havent noticed the players who contributed in the regular season up to this point, and I suppose thats a good thing we can only get better.

My take:

We played 30 minutes of outright bad hockey, 30 minutes of passable, but not great hockey, and then woke up in OT and were victimized by one bad play. What comes from this could go one of two ways:

-We realize that we're really generating chances when we step up and play with some desperation and run with it
or...
-We let the momentum shift get the best of us and come back out in the same rut.

Given what I've seen from this team over the course of the season, I think the former is more likely.

We have been playing 2 crappy games in a row.. If you are blind at the point to not see it just to bad.. Day and night between the first game...

Just take a look at that Bruins team, they are just working harder than we are..

We are playing at their level, we arent playing our game, not using our speed... Thats what piss me off...

I'm pissed, not because we lost because how we lost...

I know, we're still leading, i know the Bruins need to win 3 of the next 5 (2 being in MTL) but still looking ahead we won't go far with this kind of effort

I'm glad there's a day off in between games now. This should give the coaches a chance to make some adjustments to the power play. It would be nice to see Bouillon back on Tuesday too. They really only have two solid D pairings without him. It wouldn't hurt to see O'Byrne in either.

Simple, terrible effort again and if not for Price, this series is 2-1 Boston.

Montreals best players have been their worst. Kovalev, Markov, Komisarek, Pleks, and Kostitsyn have give listless performances.

with this type of effort they won't make it out of the first round.

I did.

It's alright tho, Thomas stood on his head and they won off a lucky goal in OT. (then again all goals in OT are lucky)

Also, I don't know what some people saying game 4 is a must win are smoking.

We're up 2-1, the nearest must win situation would be on game 6, assuming we lose the next two.

Stop freaking out over the results, and just enjoy the ride. Worrying about what can go wrong won't make much of a difference.

Where is Plekanec? Why is Kovy not controlling the game ? Where is the PP? We needed 4 straight PP's to win the previous game. How oblivious can you be?

It could easily be 2-1 Boston.

Just a weird game, strange calls and two tired teams. Could have went either way.

My only worries is Plekanek and Markov look really ... invisible for the most part.

Look forward to maybe having Stewart in the lineup next game for a little more energy.

I understand what you mean, but he is saying is that we got overplayed two games in a row. That's what scares a bit everyone in here.

We still got this. I don't think a sweep was ever reasonable.

They need to score on the PP and just finish their chances.

Line 1 and 2 really need to step it up as well.

Kovy needs space. In playoffs you don't have any especially against Boston who's only strategy is not to give space to our guys. And all of our stickhandlers needs it.

Pretty strange that the guys who have success right now are the non-stickhandler, the crush and banger.....Why would that be? 'Cause that's actually how it is in the playoffs....

Great reality check. Reason why the playoffs is a different season than the regular season. And you don't need anymore proofs than you're having right now. In the season, Boston never came close of dominating games the way they did in the last 2 games.

Only the Smolinski line have raised their game. Everybody else is playing as they were in the season.

Oh and Carbo......I hope you do realize now that Brisebois cannot play 2 games in a row....thought it was clear before the game but you had to witness it yourself....so be it.....

Let's win the next one or it will be a very very long summer....

*** are all those comments about Brisebois and Dandenault out?
You seriously think that's because of them we lost ???
Wow ...just wow.

Brisebois was actually solid and Dandy well...was Dandy (a 4th liner).

We lost because
1.Bruins outworked us.
2.Our PP was abysmal
3.Our first line was actually our worst line.
4.Thomas played well

Yet the solution is to bench Brisebois and Dandenault.

ok...I'm just happy HFBoards don't coach the team.

GO HABS GO

Thats the problem...Tom Kostopoulos as been the Habs best forward and when that happens something is terribly wrong.I am not that worried yet BUT if the Bruins win game 4 and the Habs PP doesn't soon get back to their deadly regular season ways this is shaping up to be a failure for the ages...Losing a playoff series is one thing but losing to the Bruins is totally unacceptable...puke...puke ...puke.

As bad as they can be, you are right it's not an excuse, in the playoffs there is no excuse, there is only place for warriors and sadly, Montreal seems to have lost the warriors attitude they had in game 1. It will come back, but I hope it will faster.
