WOW...
I just trashed my house after they scored that goal.... WHY IS BRISEBOIS AND ****IN DANDENAULT ON THE ICE. Ryder.. Ryder.... RYDER thats all i need to say about him, absolutely terrible. 1st Line ... doesn't seem inspired, second line is carried by a rookie in SK and Higgins is playing alright but ryder.. (WE NEED KOIVU) Why is lats on the ice at all... and why does dandenault have the priviledge of wearing the CH. Same goes for Brisebois. I'm not as mad that we lost, i'm just mad that they looked like they didn't care. Carey Price has allowed this game to go to OT twice in a row now, he's been outstanding and so has kostopoulus. Stupid penalty at the end. Memories of Carolina are just flying back and forth in my head. We NEED to dominate the next game, play better then we have all season and dominate it, the ruins think they can win? Demolish all thoughts. Bring em back to the Bell center and shake there hands and get ready for series 2. GO HABS GO PLAY LIKE YOU CARE.

/end rant

Mark Streit - 11:53 of icetime.

Wonder what the next game holds for the Swiss Miss.

Here's what I'm smoking: if the series goes back to Montreal tied, the pressure goes onto Montreal and it becomes a very difficult game for them. If they lose that one, then they face elimination on Boston ice. This is a young team and it would be a tough blow for their confidence.

A win in game 4 avoids this nasty scenario and puts control of the series right back into the Canadiens' hands. While a team can come back from a 3-1 lead, it's a commanding plateau from which Montreal can play game 5 with confidence.

Why the hell are people ragging on Brisebois and Dandenault?

Our first line was our worst line tonight. They're the reason why our PP is garbage right now.

We scored ONE power play goal all series. ONE. Like it or not, we got where we are in part because we had an awesome powerplay, and when it's garbage, our chances to win diminish.

It could easily be 2-1 Boston.
Some things definitely need to be fixed for Tuesday. But we will lose games like this, it doesn't mean the serie is over for us. They were the better team and a lot of our players didn't show up. But look at how the Bruins bounced back from Game 1 to Game 2. We will do the same on Tuesday.

One thing sure, The Bruins are showing alot more heart than we are since the begin of the serie and just for that, we have to be worried..

We have to start showing emotion, thats the way we beat Boston the last 2 times in playoffs, at the moment thats the opposite, we are the better team but we are outworked...

Captain Kovalev should start playing hockey!

This loss can only be blamed on...

...that linesman for killing the Habs chance when he stopped the puck at the blue line. Once again the NHL's conspiracy to hold back Canadian teams shines through. Hahahahaha. Just kidding, be interesting to see how the Habs react.

When your best line of the night is Kostopoulos Begin and Smoke. You know the team is struggling.

Best player by far tonight: Kostopoulos. A warrior. Everytime they were on the ice, something good would happen.

Next : Latendresse Lapierre Dandenault' line: Lats and Lapierre especially were very physical and involved in the play.

The two first lines were both invisible. The 1st line really need to step up their play.

Last thing: Our pp sucks. 2 shots on 4 PPs =

You seriously think that's because of them we lost ???
Wow ...just wow.

Brisebois was actually solid and Dandy well...was Dandy (a 4th liner).

We lost because
1.Bruins outworked us.
2.Our PP was abysmal
3.Our first line was actually our worst line.
4.Thomas played well

Yet the solution is to bench Brisebois and Dandenault.

ok...I'm just happy HFBoards don't coach the team.
Yes it is. 'Cause as much as our first line is bad, would you then bench them? Why would wanting to bench a player automatically means he's the reason for the lost? Tons of players play badly, still you can't bench them all and you know that Carbo will make chances. And you also know who the black aces are. So that's why I want to bench Brisebois. You cannot think you can win games with d-men like Brisebois and Streit on D. Have you actually noticed that Markov played 30 minutes tonight? Is it 'cause we have a great top-6 right now? So it has to start by benching somebody.

So even if all your reasons are true, and they are, what do you do if you're the coach? Stay put and don't try to bring some new blood in the lineup? Like you did all season long?

Koivu's return would help the second line and the PP. He'd give the Habs another line that would be a threat.

We outplayed the ruins for the most part in overtime, so we've got that to build on.

Plus I'm glad to get that streak out of the way....

Breezer's play tonight was so-so and he got fought off the puck more than once. I'm not blaming him but i think he needs a day off (he's no spring chicken) and we do need O'Byrne toughness.

The Habs had won 5 in a row coming into this game.

Carey Price had won 9 in a row.

Not even mentioning our ridiculous streak against Boston.

I'm not too worried about it.

Exactly... The Bruins played better and deserved the win...It was bound to happen sooner or later.Even though the Bruins played better the Habs still had their chances to make it 3-0 in this series.Thomas was the difference in OT and played a very good game...On to game 4........

As some said game 4 is a must win for a first place team like ours. We have to win this thing in five in order to get some rest and be able to beat the Rangers, cause I really think we'll face them.

2 things...

I was disapointed with Komisarek play, he had trouble with the puck.

I didn't understand why S.Kost got a penalty for roughing when he received a couple of blow when he was down at least it should have been a 4on4...

Good effort by the Bruins, it will shake the habs a little...

Btw, Brisebois is playing well, top3 dman so far are Markov, Hammer and Breeze

I'm confident because of the way Price is playing

Hummm. Sounds alot like moral victory talk. I'm pretty sure Boston is happier about getting that streak out of the way then anyone of us or the Habs.

Allright, fair enough. I just wish some posters would stop with the over the top negativity. It looks bad on all of us.

I think we need Koivu back in order to dominate the Bruins like we did earlier in the season, otherwise the rest of this series is going to be a grind. I'd also like to see Dandenault and Ryder sit with Streit and Stewart replacing them and O'Byrne taking Streit's place on D.

Yeah, always winning against a team is so humdrum, specially in the playoffs.

On the D what hurts us the more right now is Streit's play, especially on the PP, we do need more toughness, but we need Streit as the PP god he was.

Everyone's overreacting. The game was evenly fought. This was a tossup and the B's had the bounce tonight.

Everybody's gotta layoff Kovalev as well. The guy is getting rag-tagged out there and he's skating carrying a Bruin or two on his back.

Our faceoff was once again very mediocre and our powerplay abysmal. I can't wait till Koivu comes back. If they can't get that going, the Bruins will have a big chance in taking this series. Unless they like these tight nail-biting game they better start converting. A successful powerplay unit ends this series, PERIOD. I'm sure Carbo realizes that and it should be prioritized.
