CBA lockout and the AHL

If the NHL players do not play next year how does this affect the AHL. Do players on two way contracts still have to report to camp and play in the AHL? This would mean Bergeron, Hemsky, Stoll, Semenov play in AHL next year? Is Pisani on a one way contract or even Fergeson?

And are players on 2-ways members of the NHLPA? Exactly when do you qualify?

i wonder if they have to resign to new contracts since the NHLPA is for the NHL and not the AHL.

Impossible. He's on his rookie contract which is essentially built to be 2 way.

Oh, OK. I didn't know rookie contracts were two way.

Yeah, I believe it is built into the CBA. Besides, I don't know if many GMs would guarantee that much money to an unproven rookie.

yeah you may be confusing it with him not being allowed to go down due to being junior aged and not due to his contract.
