Can you really call what happened last time a riot?

Anyways, a defeat would have a calming, sobering effect on the drunken masses.

Yeah, I'm a little iffy with the term, but that's what everyone has been using.

I don't think so...I think most people will get in their cars..go home..cry a little The riots tend to break out when good things happen if I'm not mistaken. There's destruction out of celebration

Probably but i have a feeling they will be a LOT of cops waiting outside.

Wise choice would be to close Saint-Catherine street.

16 police cars either burnt or otherwise destroyed? That's a riot.

Maybe some minor disturbances will happen here and there, but there is no way the scenario from game 7 can be repeated in the streets. Stronger police presence and mostly depressed fans will quickly isolate those who want to stir some trouble.

I'm sure someone will start something. There will be a lot of unhappy people in the area, so someone might get the bright idea to provoke them.

You're right. I mixed up civil war with riots in my mind.

Maurice Richard got suspended and the city had a riot?
Is a suspension a good thing?
