Leneveu dominant in AHL skills competition

Official results

Ryan Miller (who is three years older) outperformed him in the rapid fire competition (0 goals allowed in 10 shots vs. 2 GA for Leneveu), but Leneveu was the only unbeaten goalie in the pass-and-score event. Miller and Leneveu were the only two goalies who recorded shutouts in the the breakaway relay.

Yep but remember Lennie had an advantage over these other goalies even as a rookie. Said advantage being that as a member of the Falcons these events are nothing new to him;unfortunately he faces them on a nightly basis while tending goal for the Falcons.

Dont do that! Everyone's on tenterhooks around here. I thought he had been traded for a millisecond.

If his head was getting big, a little air was let out by the rubber flying by him in the game last night.

I did not see the game, but see Lenny only stopped 16 of 21. Wished he would have stayed on Team Canada side, sounds like they were the much better team. Could it be Team World's defense was worse that the Falcons? Anyways, good experience for Lenny and deserved honor.

Miller didn't fare much better. The only goal I was able to see Lenny allow was when there were at least 5 guys between he and the puck. A lot of traffic.

All Star games are exhibition games in reality; defensive play non existant so I really don't put much stock in it. Lennie will get the bulk of the work from here on in with the Falcons. Just wish the games had some meaning but the Falcons are just playing out the string.
