There's a Fatburger in Edmonton now. I have no idea what that place is but I think I'm going tomorrow night.

Yep. It was the first thing I ate when I went to California last fall. My friend said I had to try it.

I did, and... meh

You got that right, think food poisoning every time.

Grew up with In & Out, the "training center" was just a couple miles away from where I grew up.

Used to be much better about 20 years ago, now it's good but there are better if you want to pay for it.

Good burgers for a fast food place as compared to other fast food chains.

I do want to try Ruby Tuesdays burger, they look really good on the commercials.

Since the E-coli scare of the 90's Jack in the box has actually been the safest fast food place to eat

Yep, because it's supposedly all soy. No real meat.

Five Guys is good, but the fries suck!

Sonic is nasty

What-A-Burger is great!

but All-American on Long Island in NY, is hands down the best I have ever had! It's even on that television show Hamburger Paradise..

Jack in the Box is not good. That and Del Taco are one of the few places that are open 24 hours in California. Those places are good at midnight when nothing else is open but that is it.

I have friends from Western New York come out and I took them to In & Out the first time they were here. They weren't very impressed but over the years they now love it and go everytime they come out now. They love the secret menu and the animal style fries.

I take my friends from Buffalo to In & Out when they come out and they take me to Mighty Taco when I visit them (I've been to the Anchor Bar). Mighty Taco quite possibley is the worst imitation of Taco Bell in the world and Taco Bell is a horrible imitation of mexican food.

EDIT: Oh and my friends from Buffalo also almost died laughing when the saw a Wienerschnitzel out there. They couldn't believe it was a real place. There is a song by the Descendents that mentions Wienerschnitzel and they thought it was a made up place. I never realized Wienerschnitzel isn't a national chain.

Thats your typical Canadian arrogance.

Yea we will eat your babies down here and serve you up for lunch.

I think some Canadians have an American phobia.

Got a Jack right behind us at work and people eat it everyday here, and someone gets sick from it at least once every 6 months.

It does seem suggestive but the cups and other paper receptacles have references printed on them to Bible verses, e.g. John 3:16 on the bottom of the soda cups.

I'm from the area and travel to Santa Barbara at least once a year. I will need to look them up next time I'm in town.

In-N-Out is a time honored tradition when I go to California. It's usually the first place I go after getting out of the airport. The best one is definitly on sepulveda right outside the airport.

Also, I saw that we are going to get a Five Guys here in Fort collins, just down the street. I will need to check them out once they open.
