Do you like the RUMOURED trade?

Thats all I care about. Most fans here seem to be in agreement that the rumoured trade of Comrie/Seidenberg for Burke/Radivijevic is not a good deal. Well, some people on other boards thinks its a really good deal for the Flyers. Let me preface by saying I am a Bob Clarke supporter. I'll defend most of his trades, not because I'm a homer, but because I try to look at them objectively. That being said, I do not like this rumoured trade. I won't get into specifics because what I have to say has already been said. Just let me know if you like the trade from the Flyers perspective.

Though I think Comrie is overrated.....This trade stinks!

I'd have no problem w/ the trade if Radivo can play on a line w/ Roenick-Amonte and we also get one of PHX's top prospects.

The part I hate is... not only are we trading Comrie/Dennis but also the people that we just traded to the Oilers to get Comrie in the first place.
a backup goalie who is 3-12 in the playoffs isn't worth it!

The one he quoted in his first post.

I don't care if some consider Comrie overrated, if this trade goes down as is Clarke is getting fleeced.

Doesn't matter. Comrie for Burke or Comrie + for Burke + stinks either way. You can spin it any way you want, but you're not a Flyers fan.

Lets see

Wywoitka
Comrie
Sidenberg
Draft Picks

For

Burke
Bronko whatever

Awful...

If this deal goes through I will be sick to my stomach...We would have given away 4 young players this year and draft picks for Markov (I love JW but this was a good deal)Burke and Bronko. If anything we should not get rid of Comrie for his playmaking and speed alone...As much as most of Flyer nation thinks we have lost most of our recent playoff series because of our goaltending. We lost because our team every year is built from robots who can't skate.Clarke always perferred size over speed...well if you want to compete with Ottawa and the debbies we need more team speed.

Add to the fact that 2 or 3 years Roenick/Primaeu/Lappy will be gone or close to retiremnet. What are we left with Handzus...Sure there is Carter and Richards but I have seen to many Alexander Daigles (sp) in the past to pin my hopes on unproven prospects.

I don't like the fact that we may lose Comrie. We gave up Jeff and Dennis may be gone as well. That just shortened up our list of young defensemen. Comrie started out well, it looked like he wasn't going to be a bust. He scored a few goals and made great passes. Now, he is almost invisible. He tries to make too many fancy passes instead of shooting the puck when that option is open. I have seen him a few times do something fancy and it costs a chance at a goal. If he would fire the puck a little more, I would be a little more mad. He isn't doing anything here. Burke, on the other hand, comes in and plays well. His best friend comes back to take over and there are no problems. The converse applies, if something goes wrong w/ Esche (knock on wood) Burke is the perfect person. Esche wouldn't have a problem handing the duties to Burke. Right now, this is all just speculation until something is actually done.

Egh. It'd be Woywitka, Seidenberg, 1st, 3rd for Burke, Branko, +(?).

Still not good though.

You are the one all over the Philly boards - you expect hugs and kisses?
Your team is about to poke us in arse.
Philly is nervous, as would your team following, if you were about to give up more youth in a lopsided trade after giving up alot of future picks and prospects to get younger and better.

We are taking it in the keister and they didn't even buy us dinner.

Say Burke is worth a 1st. No *** way he is, but lets be generous.

Bronko for Woywitka, Seidenberg and a 3rd?

This is why Clarke stinks. He can't go 9 months without pulling some assinine trade.

If it's just Comrie & Seidenberg for Burke & Radivojevic, then I don't like the deal at all.

If Ed Moran is correct however and it's

Comrie & Seidenberg
for
Burke, Radivojevic and a prospect

then I'll reserve judgement unbtil I see who the prospect is.

Speaking of Ed Moran, I hope he's on DNL today, I can't wait to see him explode about this. He nearly went off on Les Bowen a few weeks back, and he gets pretty snappy when one of the other non-hockey reporters starts talking about goalies. I love it because Ed is right every time.

Agreed.

He's also great for when some of the other reporters start ripping hockey. He gives it to them right back, when Bowen was the beat guy, he would just roll over and let them make fun of hockey all the time.

I'd pay for Moran's beer tab for life if he beat Jerardi senseless the next time he started ripping hockey.

Excellent. He's scheduled for Tuesday, which is perfect timing, and they could have him on via phone or something today since who is on when is scheduled in advance and this has just come up.

Nervous? you're the one who is dialing up your 'second hand reliable inside-out sources' on the other board for reassuring purposes.

All of the sentiment from every Flyers fan is that this deal sucks. I agree, why repeat what everyone else has said.

End.

No,I don't like this trade at all,it makes me think that Clarke's given up on Seids(and Seids is a Euro player),and it also makes me think that Clarke only got Comrie as trade bait, which is dumb to get him for one of our prospects. :

I gave you my answer, and I have a feeling it's shared by others. No need to get your panties all tied up because I expressed my feelings.
