nooo i would keep kovalev with plekanec and andrei because if kovalev is with koivu, boston will match chara against them and i would rather koivu not go up against chara, as you saw yesterday koivu was succesfull.

Sergie-Koivu-Higggins
Andrie-Plekanec-Kovalev
Kosto-Smoke-Begin
Latendresse-Lapierre-Ryder

Markov-Komisarek
Hamrilik-O'Bryne
Cube-Gorges

And also the habs need to forcheck they cant have 4 guys in the neutral zone and wait for boston, they need to forcheck hard 2-1-2, like on higgins second goal, this is why boston has scored 10 goals in last 2 games we make them come out of their zone to easily.

Perfect..........but no matter what if we don't forecheck with 2 forwards were going to lose,

Brisebois had been good in this series BUT we did not became the number 1 PP with him at the point so must use the players that brought us where we are.

Streit in (if not injured) as a forward

Ryder on the top 2 lines or out (he's useless on the 3rd or 4th line), if out bring in Chipchura or Stewart...new hungry motivated young blood|!

Brisebois out (sorry!)

Kovy and Koivu on separate lines

A. Kostitsyn - Plekanec - Kovalev
Higgins - Koivu - S. Kostitsyn
Bégin - Smolinski - Kostopoulos
Latendresse - Lapierre - Ryder

Markov - Komisarek
Hamrlik - Streit
Bouillon - Gorges

Price

Love O'Byrne, but we need Streit for the PP, even if it's not working really good with him lately. We need that 1st good pass out of the zone. We alson need talent... Goals... Lats and Ryder have to play.

How can we try something new for a game 7? You have to go with the team that finished 1st. Just my 2 cents

Try telling that to Carbo. Breezer and dandenault were not apart of that team

Andrei Kostitsyn - Tomas Plekanec - Sergei Kostitsyn
Christopher Higgins - Saku Koivu - Alex Kovalev
Guillauame Latendresse - Maxim Lapierre - Michael Ryder
Steve Begin - Bryan Smolinski - Tom Kostopoulos

Andrei Markov - Mike Komisarek
Roman Hamrlik - Patrice Brisebois
Francis Bouillon - Josh Gorges

Carey Price

BENCHED:
Mark Streit - He's too hurt to be a solid contributor.
Mathieu Dandenault - Ryder can score a goal.

Best line up ever, good job. It's really smart considering the way you get Chara to either cover one of the top two lines, or cover Kovalev. So on one hand, you got their big D covering Kovalev, a rookie C and a sniper who hasn't done anything all season and then leaves two potent lines open to run their havoc. Really well thought out.

Also the only time Andrei Kostitsyn has looked good this series is when he has the puck coming down the right side of the ice

Ryder-Koivu-Higgins
A. Kostitsyn-Plekanec-Kovalev
Kosto-Smoke-Begin
Latendresse-Lapierre-S. Kostitsyn

Markov-Komisarek
Hamrlik-O'Bryne
Bouillon-Gorges

I go with this to start the game. If anyone, its Saku that can light the fire under Ryder like he did for Higgins. Ryder has alot to prove. I'd double shift Kovy, whenever there is a chance, to get away from Chara. Sergei provides offensive boost to the forth line and has played well with them before.

So scratched are Dandy, Brisebois, Streit.

They got us to #1, they are our best shot to take game 7.

Yeah, everyone but Carbonneau knows this.

And I'm not saying this to bash Carbonneau, he literally doesn't. He put the Belarussian line together (Pleks instead of Grabs) in one game and A. Kost was playing LW.

On the other hand, you've hung our best player out to dry with a rookie and a guy who's not done anything all year (not to mention pairing him with two of the slowest skaters on the team). So even if he doesn't get the Chara matchup, he'll be totally on his own to actually create offense.

I'm not saying that they're bad lines, I'm just pointing out the major flaw that I see in them.

I know, lol and I think the funniest part is Sergei is actually a natural LW too yet both him and Andrei have to play their wrong positions.

I wouldn't be against playing Stewart or Chipchura at all, simply for the fact that they will WANT to play and WANT to win. They will wear their hearts on their sleeves.. and that's something that a lot of the Habs aren't doing.

That's exactly it, plus I figure their style of play is much better suited for this type of series.

I have nothing against Ryder, but I personally think Stewart and Chipchura have more to bring given the circumstances.

Streit on defence?????
Begin out of the lineup???!?!

I want to see Grabovski in the lineup but why take Begin out when he's been on our best line so far in the playoffs. Streit has been terrible all series and even worse on defence, Bouillon showed some rust last game but overall I thought he played decent last game.
