Deadline Dealing?

Will the Flyers make any more deals?

We have alot of muscle and forwards - will Feds or Somik head West?
Will someone get desperate and us get healthy enough to move Therien?

Thoughts and predictions on these or others - we have about a month but things are heating up.

If anything I see a rental vet winger or winger who can play center. They have addressed the defense (and Desjardins will be back) and goal, and they're set at center with JR, Primeau, Handzus, LaPointe, and Sharp. They're not lacking at wing, but it wouldn't surprize me to see one brought in. Someone to bump out Somik, Fedoruk, or Sharp (I like Sharp but in the playoffs I can easily see him being replaced in the lineup by a vet).

For all the badmouthing Clarke gets, he's done a hell of a job this year.

I agree, but sharpe deserves to be there, he's been great so far, i don't see why his play would change in the playoffs. If they get someone, it's to replace Fedoruk.

I don't think they have anymore moves to make. This team is good top to bottom. They need to get the Roenick line going, Radivo into the lineup, Rico and Esche healthy, and hopefully make a good run at the cup.

Come deadline time, if the team plays like they did against New Jersey and there are no major injuries, I believe thing will stay the same.

if two of the same position go down (a la 2002) there will be some sort of deal.

I agree that Sharp should be in there, but I feel they'll get someone for the stretch run. Remember Joe Sacco, how he played ahead of Somik in the playoffs last year? Something like that, but someone that actually resembles a player with talent.

If there are no more serious injuries, I would say he's done dealing. However, one injury to a key player and that will change.

I think that what you see is what you get. hopefully our injuries are over and the injured will come back soon healthy.

My gut tells me he is probably done, but I don't put anything past Clarke. If the "right" deal comes along for an impact player, he will be involved for sure if for nothing else but to keep the Devils from having him.

Clarke is never done dealing, but right now, the best thing that could happen would be if JR and TA could get their respective rears in gear.

I actually agree- he could play on our 4th line any day- the guy has good size, plays smart and has a nose for the net (sort of...) He has put together some pretty good years wherever he goes... having a career year so lol getting him for nothing
