"We proved that Carey Price cracks under pressure"

I heard that back on the B thread.

Personnally, I think Price's problems in the ending of game 5 has absolutely nothing to do with "pressure". I say he was still bitter about his own single stupid mistake. That's what made him loose his focus, not the "pressure".

Price works great under pressure, but he can't get over a stupid goal he let earlier in a game. I think that's how his psych works.

(off course, the B fans will never admit it. In their eyes, Price is merely an overated kid who never had been tested, and always cracks under "pressure")

Game 7, at the Bell Centre, with the worst comeback loss in team history looming isn't "pressure"?

He didn't look cracked to me tonight. YMMV.

If tonight is cracking under pressure...keep them coming!

What a STUPID comment...

Carey came through when it matters most....Game 7

Boston cracked under pressure giving up when they were down 3-0 in the game...

The bruins fans are frustrated, they went from pretty much out, to one game from winning it all.

If they say it in a few days, we'll prove them wrong, now, anything they say is usually out of frustration

Hey, remember that Price also won a 1-0 game--that's two shutouts in his four victories against the Bruins. He's only 20 years ood and I daresay he'll win dozens more against the Bruins in the course of his career. Thomas is 34 years old and he won't last long enough to win even one dozen against the Habs.

He's half right, half wrong.

The Bruins rightfully prooved that Price is human and can have very bad games.
But
Price also showed that theses kind of game will happen but not often with his brilliant prestation in game 7.

According to them he also "wasn't tested much". Must have come in late and missed the first period...

most people all over this site are dissing the habs and giving us no chance in the second round. good let us be underdogs and disrespected. this team will get better - win or lose...

the B's pushed the habs and humbled us and taught us we need to step up to win. showing up won't cut it. i still say we're a dangerous team. we will feast on philly's d zone coverage and if we play the Rags we will have seen the trap from 7 games with boston

lol game 5 was as easy as looking at how the habs played to try and get the goals back and letting carey out to dry. People can call it what they want, but when you are down a goal and have a team that loves to come on the rush, you will get caught again and again, that was 3rd period of game 5

game 6 wasnt that situation at all, price wasnt at his best per say, but none the less game 7 make it that game 6 means nothing, expect broken B fans hearts

If anything he excels under pressure, just look back at some of his accomplishments.

After seeing what is posted in the Bruins board, I do not give them any credibilty whatsoever. They complained about the penalties (even though they had a 6/4 advantage). They talk about our players being divers. They wish their players playing dirties to injure our player. They called our fanbase arrogant. The list goes on and on. I normally have nothing against the Bruins fanbase. But after this series, I hate them with a passion. Try to discuss hockey with them is becoming impossible.

I think a guy off the streets had the quote of the day when he said

"I love you Carey Price. I would be honored if you would go to coffee with me."

The rivalry between Mtl and Boston used to be fun on this board. But after these last 7 games, I can't stand Bruins fans anymore. They've gone completely polarized. Worst than talking politics.

Seeing the teams shake hands after the game made me realize I don't really dislike all of them. Thomas in particular stood out to me as someone who seems like a genuinely good guy.

Too bad their supporters are such idiots. "It's not the band I hate, it's their fans"...

we got punished for all the borderline calls tonight and that is FACT. THE DIVING STUFF? Meh, ference was acting on sergei's phantom high stick and nokelainen took a world class dive on the markov call in the 2nd

the refs gave them 6 straight minutes to get back in it from the 19 minute mark of the 2nd

Carey Price cracking under pressure? I think the kid loses focus sometimes but stressed out? Never

Look back at some of the other stupid comments before game 7, BY HABS FANS:

We shoulda kept Huet

I'd want Thomas or Huet in net right now

Gainey making bad deals has finally caught up with us

I hope Kovalev gets hurt

Boston wants it more than we do

We have already lost (after game 6)

that's just a few I remember

That first period he had was incredible. To think he's only 20 and he can only get stronger, faster, more experienced. A player doesn't hit his prime until around 28 years old. So Carey still has 8 more years until he actually peaks. Scary stuff.

The kid didn't crack in game 7, all that has to be said about this subject. Well played Price, lead the way!
