I picked Philly because I like how we match up against them better. But a series with the Rags is fine by me as well.

I'd rather face philly, but the thought of Ovechkin eliminating Cindy is just too good. Either way bring it on!!

Flyers... by far.
I prefer to face Penguins than NYR.

Either way it'll be very tough but I'd prefer Philly. Playing NY would void finishing first in the conference as they are essentially a top 3 team.

Philly.

a Pit - NYR matchup means there will be one big team down... and i like that.

It's déjà vu all over again. I have no preference in terms of who the Habs play, I just want them to play their game and not the oppositions.

I picked Philly and for me it's not even close. Heck, I'd rather play the Caps and the Pens instead of the Rangers

Philly for sure were not fresh and either are they...the rangers are well rested...and just took out a good team very easily...Philly is my choice

Logic tells me it would be an easier task for the Habs if they face the Flyers. That is how I voted.

The Habs/Bruins series tells me the playoffs are an entirely different beast, so I guess it doesn't really matter who they face. What gives me hope going into the next round is the line changes Carbonneau made last night. That was 1st rate coaching right there.

And you know what's great?

We're not taking on some new franchise this time around in the second round, and won't either in the conference finals if we get there.

Rangers or Flyers is an occasion to start a rivalry.

Tampa Bay and Caroline, really, weren't.

New York. Let me explain why.

Now that we've beaten Boston it's Cup or bust. I think the Philly series would be easier to win, but it would do less for polishing the important aspects of this team that need to be better. Playing the Rangers, we would have to fight for every goal and have to beat a netminder who can be better than anyone left in the playoffs. Our powerplay would have to shape up right quick, and our lines would be forced to mesh to the best of their ability. Our D would have to contend with a one-two punch in Jagr and Drury's lines as a warmup to Crosby and Malkin (and Ribeiro/Richards, maybe).

New York would be a tougher opponent. But they would prepare us for the Pens if we came through.

There is no such thing as an easy playoff series, but I think we match up better against the Flyers. We could beat either team, but I like our chances better against Philadelphia.

We had a lot of success against them in the regular season, their defense is slower and not as good as Boston's, and they have what I consider the weakest goaltender in the East. You never want to go up against a goalie that can beat you on his own.

Plus, if you thought the boos for Chara were loud you're in for a treat with Briere.

I don't fear either one, a team doesn't flukily win a seventh game by a score of 5-0.

I want the Rangers.

Then it'll be the most epic conference final ever whether it's the Caps or Pens. Just speed and skill. It will be breathtaking.

It could be the battle of the Ex's, cause it's been rumoured she's dating Dion Phaneuf.
