Andy Delmore Update!!!!

Delmore has 0 goals and 0 assists in 10 games. He is 2nd on the team with a -4. Second to last that is. He has the same amount of points as the third round pick we stole from them. Go Poile! Of course, I'd be happy with Poile if we just waived him and Buff nabbed him off the wires. To get a 3rd round pick is just gravy.

Oh, it's beyond dead. I just dug up it's grave. I have a grudge against few Buff fans who visit these boards. It's a tongue in cheek shot at them more or less.

How about that Buffalo PP. 0 - 5 two nights ago against Ottawa, with only 1 shot on goal.

GO *elmore!

Damn, you cats are obsessed with this guy. He's actually played above expectations defensively for Buffalo. He's only got 1 point though and hence the benching. But his presence alone on the PP has given other players space and improved the unit as a whole. Isn't there something at least close to interesting in Nashville that you can turn your attention to??

Well, pardon our ignorance. But when most every publication is bemoaning how the Preds have given up all hope by revamping our D corps led by the trade of one Mr. *elm*re, there is some comedy involved. Listen, I like the guy...he was very cordial in his stay here. But everyone one here watched him attempt to play D....and despite his PP heroics, he cost the team.
On the PP he can open up ice with his shot (truly an asset)....but teams figured out that forcing him to pass would likely lead to a nice shorthanded opportunity.

And your defensive expectations must of been incredibly low.

This post was made two weeks ago and has been sporadically attended since then. This would be a moot point if several of the Buffalo Sabres faithful hadn't decided to bash Nashville and tell us 'hillbillies' how hockey was done. Merely pointing out that, so far, we've been dead on.

And Andy Delmore playing above expecations defensively still puts him a shade below Tom Poti in that category.

I won't even make any snide comments about level of expectations. Andy did seem to be a genuinely nice guy.

(I am trying to stay positive today)

Only reason it's called a miracle is because the ref was blind enough to not call it a forward pass.

also, why did we never use *elm*re as a forward? I always thought it would be worth a shot.

Cause he can't skate, pass, isn't physical and doesn't see the ice well.

No, that was wide right, which is why he is dead to me, along with Wade Phillips and Rob Johnson.

Who's the one who's blind? Did you not see the hour-long documentary done by NFL films on the play? They showed, in a very accurate, intelligent, and crystal way, that it was a lateral. Remember, to be a lateral, all it has to do is not go forward. There is, to this date, no visual evidence of that ball ever going forward.

Same b.s. that sabres fans keep spitting out about Hull being in the crease. Hull had the puck in the crease. But he didn't beat the puck into the crease initially. Then, Hull brought the puck out of the crease (as he was bringing it back to shoot) and put his foot in the crease (as he has positioning his feet for the put back). When he proceeded to shoot, the puck went back into the crease (obviously after his foot was there). The NHL had a provision for this very instance, stating it was legal. Yet, they whine.
