I would say someone like Steckle, Lehoux, Zizka... something like that...

I think everyone is going to have a different take on this. Here's mine...

I take "midlevel prospect" to mean those prospects that are below the likely NHL stars and above the career AHLers. Likely NHL stars for the Kings would be something like approximately the Kings top 10 prospects from the top 20 list. Mid-level would probably be something like the rest of the top 20 list (or maybe also a couple in the top 10). And bottom tier prospects would be those not on the list. When the Kings acquired Straka, I would have classified Anshakov as a midlevel prospect.

Pefectly said mate. DFA has it on the bean. To me, ours would be Lehoux (at this point) Rosa, Zizka, Clarke,Flinn. I don't think it fair to list any of our lads who aren't in the AHL at least yet. We really don't have an effective measuring stick if they aren't here. A player like Karlson might not be ripping up his SEL league but, if all that watch him say is true and he has more of a NA style of game then we truly don't know where he will end up on our depth roster.

Same could be said for the rest of the systems. Loads of players have come out of NCAA that were average there and grand in the NHL. Same for the Ohl and such. Lappy were a scoring monster in juniours and not so in the NHL.
