Fan pouring beer on Richards

While I didn't have the chance to see it, what will happen to the guy that did it?

Will he get banned from the Bell Center or did he only get kick for the rest of the game?

He should be because that is never cool. Like we saw with a fan in Washington throwing a beer bottle at Carter...I think that any fan that does something like that should be banned for life, no questions asked.

I saw that. I wasn't sure what happened there. If someone threw something on him, that's terrible. He should be banned for life.

Things like that happen in Philly all the time too, and I hate it. I agree with you guys. I do know that in Philly, at most sporting events, at games where they know there may be a problem, they keep a judge in an office in one of the stadiums/arenas. If you do anything, you get prosecuted that night, no questions asked. Kinda funny actually, but it gets the point across.

Wow, a judge in an office for a sporting event... In what kind of world do we live? LOL

All this proves is that even idiots can raise the cash required to purchase playoff tickets.

Seriously. It's unfortunate that the majority of Habs fans are defined and represented by a very vocal minority of idiots and thugs. But most haters won't acknowledge it and will take the opportunity to trash the Habs and their fans, but I don't care anyway.

Amen. I'm getting fed up of all this knit-picking stuff. Habs fans are this Habs fans are that.

You know what, yes we're crazy, yes we're obsessed and yes I'm damned proud of it.

There are people who take things too far everywhere. I think I can think of 30 times in all sports where I've seen a fan spill beer on a player in highlights.

Big deal.

It may not be a big deal to you but it is to most civilized people. What would make fans do it? Is it a reflection on their dysfunctional families? Of course it is.

Well the title summarize it pretty well...

I didn't see it, but it seems it happened in the penalty box at the end of the 3rd.
The guy was probably convinced that Richard's hit was a cheapshot and he overreacted.
There are stupid people everywhere!

Really who cares? The only thing that should be important is the team. Supporting them when they are in last place, losing your voice when they finish 1st.

All the crowd antics and Habs fans did that...really not important. The media is getting to you people, and quite frankly they are doing it pretty darn easily too.

Ignore all of it and eventually they'll stop talking about it.

Go Habs Go.

ps. Is there a way to put an image in your sig?

Someone must have been pretty pissed that Richards tried to take out our best player at the knee. Imagine Kovy got injured on the play?

Richards was in the penalty box, and a fan dumped a bit of beer on his head. With the internet nowadays everything gets blown way out of proportion.

It shouldn't happen, but come on its not a big deal a bit of beer will never hurt you. He had towels on hand anyway

not to play devil's advocate, but nobody saw anything. you do know that there are cameras on the guy in the penalty box from the moment the guy steps in. Why haven't we seen footage of the beer spilling? Maybe an e-mail could be sent to RDS/CBC...? I am not saying it did not happen, but I just thought there was an uncharacteristic lack of ruckus behind the penalty box after it supposedly happened.
