Overkill and Maiden are great but the rest is meh. Haven't heard Unexpect though, so I wouldn't know what to expect of them.

New Cryptopsy is the definition of "sissy metal".

I can't wait for the lineup to be announced. This looks awesome.

Mastodon is awesome. I saw them live a while back, they put on a great show. Symphony X is kind of corny, but they put on a good show as well. 3 Inches is a decent band as well.

If it's UneXpect, they have about three good songs and the rest is trash.

Maiden and Symphony X = Pure awesomeness. I like Hammefall , Unexpect and Overkill as well and it should be interesting to see who are going to be the other bands. There is a 99.9 % chance that i will be there with a few of my buddies since the 21-22 is during the weekend and i won't work. Then on the 23 it's "La St-Jean" so it's going to be 3 intense days of partying and corporal punishement

In this day and age where hip hop and emo punk seems to be everywhere , it was about time that someone did something for us metal fans .

Btw i'm going to the In Flames/Children Of Bodom/Megadeth (Gigantour 2008) show in Quebec on April 28th. Anyone else going ?

Maiden could have an outdoor festival by themselves and it would sell 30000 tickets, any metal fan old and young would go. They need another big name band to co-headline with them.

I should be there for the Gigantour. I'll be there for In Flames even though I haven't listen to their latest album (is it even out yet ?). Would have been cool to have Dream Theater on the set again.

In flames is coming out this week but you can download it. IMO it's not that good of an album. They played it safe and i hate it when bands do that. It just sounds like the last one, which i personally found to be one of the best metal albums of that year even though the In Flames purest found it to be a softer change from what they released in the past.

Yes the last album has been leaked but i haven't listened to it yet. One of my buddy did and apparently it's in the same genre as the last one but a bit more aggressive and overall slightly better. (but that's his opinion and mine may be different)

I will definitively give it a few listen soon enough

Yeah I have the new In Flames as well and it's pretty good. Better than the new Bodom album for sure

In Flames sucks so much lately... their last good album was Clayman... Beyond that it's pure BS. It's very sad because they were my fav band back in the time.

I didn't heard the last Cryptopsy.. but was a huge fan back in the Phobophile days..

As for the Maiden comments, I was kidding, I know they're the ancestors of modern days metal and I respect them.

You kidding? If Maiden are playing, it's 10x better than Gigantour. It could be Evanescence supporting for all I care.

Both should be awesome shows, but if I have to choose between Megadeth and Iron Maiden...I go with Megadeth

Yes, both albums are really good.

As is obZen (Meshuggah's new album). Heaven Shall Burn's new album is good too.

Eh. I'll be going to Gigantour as well, but for me Megadeth doesn't hold a candle to Maiden. Especially now when Megadeth is basically just the Dave Mustaine show. And the songs they're playing now aren't that great; too much new stuff for me. Still love both bands anyway.

Did you go to Maiden last show? They just played the new songs. Last Gigantour Mustaine still played and plays all the classics.

Maiden is only playing tunes from the first seven albums this tour (except for Fear of the Dark).
