Got this off the Bruins pages, Soderberg is a Bruin Draftpick looks like a good one
Now look at Brunnstrom, Well worth the risk in my opinion

According to tsn Montreal is the last time he will go see and that's on Saturday morning...if Gainey is smart he will invite him to the game later that night

These are the same stats people are using to say he won't be any good.

Point totals aren't everything.... I mean Corey Locke outscored everyone in Junior Hockey.... These scouts see something in Brunnstrom's game that makes him a high end NHL prospect.... I trust the scout's opinions over the stats, especially when the scouts are guys like Trevor Timmins.

Ryder's spot in the press box.

Ryder will be demoted to the AHL.

If he's there for the game, hopefully the crowd will convince him to play here.Right now he's in Colorado and im sure he would loved to play for the wings...

win or lose the crowd will give montreal a standing ovation i'm sure at the end of the game...that should impress him along with the noise level the entire game

Lose : To tell them how much they apreciate what they acomplished this year...
Win : Cheer them on for the following game as well in case they don't win that one and come back for game 7

Not much new here... The Brunnstrom burner is down to three finalsits.

Hoping for a good show from the boys on Saturday and a loud loud Bell Centre.

IF he signs with us, Habs fans will undoubtedly be bashed for overhyping their prospects even though this guy was hyped mostly by elsewhere.

From the main board Brunnstrom thread... originally posted by JackTalkThai

http://detroitnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll...98/1004/SPORTS

Babcock had a confident semi-sarcastic remark when asked why Brunnstrom should sign with the Wings...

Quote:
"It's so obvious it isn't even funny," Babcock said during his morning press conference. "Just move into Novi, Little Sweden, and hang out. I can't even understand how anybody else is in the running. Makes no sense to me whatsoever. All they (Swedish players) do is they come here, they're comfortable, they play better than they ever have in their life."

I saw his interview on tsn and he didn't seem to comfortable in english.I think down the line he will pick Detroit because of all the Swedes there. We don't even have 1.I just hope tomorrow he falls in love with the city and the fans

But in Montreal, he would be the Swedish star of the city...as he would be the only one. He wouldn't be in Zetterberg's shadow

He wasn't selected for the Swede team... A deep team (but not a medal contender in my eyes)

Goalies (3): Stefan Liv (HV71 Jonkoping), Erik Ersberg (Los Angeles Kings/NHL), Mikael Tellqvist (Phoenix Coyotes/NHL).

Defenders (8): Daniel Fernholm (Linkopings HC), Magnus Johansson (Florida Panthers/NHL), Niclas Wallin (Carolina Hurricanes/NHL), Sanny Lindstrom (Timra IK), Alexander Edler (Vancouver Canucks/NHL), Jonas Frogren (Farjestad Karlstad), Kenny Jonsson (Rogle BK/SWE2), Anton Stralman (Toronto Maple Leafs/NHL).

Forwards (15): Nils Ekman (Khimik Moscow Region/RUS), Tony Martensson (Linkopings HC), Patric Hornqvist (Djurgarden Stockholm), Karl Fabricius (Frolunda Gothenburg), Rickard Wallin (Farjestad Karlstad), Johan Andersson (Timra IK), Michael Holmqvist (Frolunda Gothenburg), Linus Videll (Sodertalje SK), Nicklas Backstrom (Washington Capitals/NHL), Marcus Nilson (Calgary Flames/NHL), Robert Nilsson (Edmonton Oilers/NHL), Daniel Widing (Brynas Gavle), Fredrik Warg (MODO Ornskoldsvik), Mattias Weinhandl (Linkopings HC), Per Ledin (HV71 Jonkoping).

Head coach: Bengt-Ake Gustafsson. Assistant coaches: Anders Eldebrink, Jan Karlsson.

I was listening to his agent on the Fan 590 last night. He said Brunnstrom is only considering Detroit, Toronto or Montreal. If he cannot work out a deal with one of those he will move on to other teams. The agent also said it has nothing to do with the number of Sweeds on the team, what he is interested in is team offensive style and where he thinks he will fit the best.

Salary is also not much of an issue as he will be treated as any 1st year draft player. Where he is looking for some flexibilty is the bonus structure of the contract and the chance of making the team sooner rather then later. Let's wait and see, apparently we have a 1 in 3 chance to score this guy.

The reason teams are so high on this guy is not because of his skill or stats.

It's because he is a "supposed" top 10 worthy pick without the cost of a draft pick. He is also, supposedly "NHL ready" and also only costs an entry level contract.

So if he is a bust it won't have cost a thing.

Yes but I hope he will not sign a 3-4 years contract. Imagine if he bust..
