Apparently

If the goalie is about to catch the puck and you slash his glove it still counts as a goal and is NOT goalie interference. This rule brought to you by Gary Bettman.

Who knew?

Discuss.

P.S. This is not saying that the 4th goal is the reason we lost tonight.

Anyway Price wasn't at his best tonight. But with what i saw tonight from the Habs, i am confident for the next games.

It was an odd play, I don't know what you call it. CBC didn't even comment on it. It would be nice to have announcers that had some idea what was going on to describe the play.

Markov should have cleared that puck anyways, gave it right to them.

Anyways, as mentioned, Habs lost the game themselves, couldn't finish and Price would love to have a few of those back.

Shouldn't the play have been called down though since he hit the puck with a high-stick then touched it before anyone else did?

It was a clear slash. Should've been no goal and a penalty on the Flyers.

Doesn't matter, Price shouldn't have gambled and that line should not have been on the ice.

I couldn't tell if he actually hit the puck, or if he hit Price's glove and the puck deflected off Price's glove.

Not blaming the refs. Price should've stopped the play in the first place. He was pretty bad tonight.

Are you kidding me? Of course it is a slash ESPECIALLY if it is done in the crease!

If it wasn't legit, Carey might have put up more of a stink. He knows it was his bad and he was too casual about it.

I agree, funny how that worked. Wonder why that moron Greg Millen never focused on that for one second? Old Zipperhead couldn't shut up about the Kostoplous roughing on philly's goaltender to discuss anything else.

Price plays on his knees too much. He's on his kness from shots that are far away.

CBC didn't comment on it cause it went against the habs, and thats fine with them. If it were the other way Millen would have been up in arms about it, I mean he's an ex-freaking goalie and not a word about how its a slash or interference. And here we have PJ to tell us how its a good play and fine and that the habs were just diving too much..........

Ya know I can't imagine another canadian team making a playoff run and getting this kind of attitude, its on tsn too.

I believe Price had a foot out of the crease and the puck was below shoulder level, I'm pretty sure that's a legit play and goal.

It should have been like 5-1 Habs at that point, the first 2 goals he gave up were weak. Bettman has nothing to do with the refs or rules.

CBC did comment on it...think it was Stock...he said, Price was out of the blue ice, and it's a free puck, wasn't a high stick so it's legal.

Doesn't matter....onto the next game.

Stevens gets his breaks....is it just me or does he look like Mr. Smithers?

Come on guys. We're starting to sound like Flyer fans here.

Clearly grasping at straws here. That was a goal, and there's no two ways about it.

Forget about it, move on to game 3.

Another Bob Cole classic moment. He said the ref waved it off and then signaled goal. He wasn't sure if it was a goal or not. Uh Bob, the puck hit the post before going in.

Exactly.

The Flyer player has every right to try and get his stick on that puck, if Price brings his glove hand toward the puck at the same time, he might take the stick in the hand.

There's no way that should have been a penalty and there's no way that wasn't a legit goal.

The people here who say otherwise are grasping at straws here... out of frustration.
