Can trades be done during the summer?

The reason why I ask is if yes, then is thier a chance that Chippy is going to be traded this summer? The reason why I ask is he was sent to Hamilton and D'ago and Stewart where called now D'ago got sent back but Stewart stayed. From what I hear is that Chip doesn't practice ith the Habs and doesn't travel with the team but Stewart does and I can't understand this part Stewart played one game, played in the ECHL last year wasn't even a top player in Hamilton and he travels and practices with the Habs. I sure hope if they are going to dick him around that they do trade him to another team that can treat him fairly. My son has met him and thinks that he the nicest hockey player out there. Just your thoughts or am I just reading into something thats not there.

Chips is in Montreal in case someone were to get hurt the Habs can easily call one of their guys to join them.

Stewart finished the year with the habs and Carbo likes his attitude in and around the room (he said it on RDS a couple of days ago) thats why he is keeping him around the players.

..chipchura is not getting traded.

When D'ago and Stewart were recalled Chipchura was hurt.

When he was healthy he got called up.

He is practicing and travelling with the team now.

Your whole premise is shot down. They are not disappointed in Chipchura. They are not actively looking to move him.

If the right trade comes along that improves the team he'll go, he's not untouchable; but he is by no means on the outs with habs management.
