Guide to offering trade proposals

Can we sticky this?

I hate all these stupid trade proposals that pop up... everywhere. Based on the amount of feedback (or flame) I guess a lot of people enjoy them, but I dont. They clutter the boards.

Can we possibly sticky these guidelines to lessen the amount of utterly stupid proposals we get?

Rule #1: We're not trading Voracek, Brassard, Nash, Mason, or Leclaire so stop asking. If you're offering something equal, chances are your GM has zero intention of ever trading that(those) player(s).

Rule #2: Spell our g'd city correctly. One thing about Columbus, we love our town and our team and have a lot of pride. The only thing that makes a stupid trade proposal worse is disrespect.

Rule #2.5: Spell correctly & use proper grammar - it goes a long way towards disproving your ignorance. You dont have to be perfect, but an education past grade school should be required for all trade proposals. Player's names are the exception, unless we're talking about Rick Nash(see Rule #1) or Aaron Rome.

P.S. I wouldn't be so sure about that "won't be traded" list.

I think it will be much easier to stop global warming than stop all the stupid trade proposals...

Rule #3 -- Just because it worked on an EA Sports video game doesn't mean it's close to realistic

At least these proposals from other team's fans give us something to talk about. As long as it creates calm, civil debate, (like the first few pages of the last few trade threads did, before they turned into a flame fest) I'm all for it.

While I love that the Crunch made the playoffs and that our prospects are doing so well with their respective teams and what our guys are doing at the World Championships, I really would rather talk about Bluejackets hockey for next season and this offseason.

Besides, Voracek and Mason haven't played in the league yet, Brassard isn't ready for full time NHL duty, and We've still not made the playoffs with Nash and Leclaire so lets not rule trading any of them out.

I would venture to guess that Nash may be the only true untouchable on this team. I would say all others are fair game to get to the playoffs.

Or maybe you should create a message board for just you and your cronies where everyone thinks like you and posts like you and makes only points you agree with. That way you wouldn't have to suffer the fools of the regaler ol' internets.

Heaven forbid there be a place for open debate

Rule 4: Your team has been to the playoffs. Our team has not... We're not interesting in trading the few budding stars we have for picks and prospects that will delay our entrance into the second season. We are willing to trade them, but only for experienced NHL'ers.

I'm just thankful that Hab fans can't offer Ryder, Ribiero and a 2nd anymore.

As many have pointed out, if you don't like the trade proposals, then don't post in them. Don't even look at them.

And don't post "LOLZALSZ#(&*ZZZ TR0LL5ZS. GOZ AWAYZ. That just makes things worse.

Thread Closed.
