Our performance has been all over the map, but I think the Bruins played a tougher style defensively and were more physical. The Flyers are more dangerous offensively, but have similar problems with mobility and puck moving on D when their top pair isn't out there.
But we left the door open for Boston quite a bit. That should have been a five game series. We let it drag on too long. Same thing happening now unless they wake up. Lot of young guys on our team, so inconsistency will happen.
I think this poll should probably be exclusive to posters on this board who also happen to play for the Montreal Canadiens.
Not necessarily. After 2 games we can already see it's easy to put pressur in your zone. I even saw that from washington. The only thing we need is to finish and also for Price to wake up.

Yeah, but while you do the whole "Price needs to wake up" thing I can basically say the same for the entirety of our roster, who are fully capable of playing stifiling team defense (as seen in a few games of the Washington series and a good stretch at the end of the regular season). The tougher opponent can't be judged by a few fans after seeing two games in a series.
Boston Bruins. Easily. I would put them in front of a lot of team who participated to the 2008 Stanley Cup playoffs. They were well coached and played as a team. The aberration were are seeing right now, in this series, will be corrected soon enough. Montreal in 5.
I think the Bruins had a much faster team with grittier players than the Flyers have, which means Montreal can..if they so choose to.. dominate Philly easier than they would have been able to against the Bruins. Even though it's a bit arrogant and whatnot, I am not as worried about this series as the last one, that's for sure!
Seeing as Boston's style of play completely got us of our game, and Philly's style of play let's us play our own game with relative ease....
I was just talking today about how Boston was alot scarier to play than Philly. Philly can score more, but they can't stop us from scoring like the B's

Exactly. If your whole team plays better along with Price for us you lose anyway. A goalie can steal a game but not players, and we saw a perfect example of this in the last game. + Price alwlays bounce back so that's why we say this.

If our whole team plays better our goalie won't have to steal a game.
not trying to troll but you r tied 1-1 with the flyers. Niether team has really played a good solid 60+ min. Doesnt it seem a little early for this type of thread ?

You obviously know nothing about us Hab fans, we are arrogant and irrational, spineless and unforgiving. We don't like minorities, not even French people.

Sorry for trolling, but this is a pretty neat thread. I definitely think you guys were the hardest to play against all season. We couldn't buy a win until the playoffs, and we still only inched out wins.
I'm very excited for the future of this rivalry especially with the plethora of young players on both teams.
The Bruins were stronger and played a great system, but they didn't have the scorers that Philly has. The Bruins were tougher to break down and create scoring chances against, but for all the chances we have created against Philly we haven't really been able to solve Biron.
I think it's pretty foolish to make a thread trying to determine which team is tougher to play against while we are losing the series 2-1...
I think that the Flyers are probably a better team than they are showing and when we take a first period lead against them we might see a bit of desperation and a bigger need for them to chase the game.
Either way I think we are better than both teams and think we will win this series, but it obviously won't be easy.
