I don't mind Price starting, but he'd better be on a short leash.

The PP better be on a short leash too - any ****ing up like that 5-on-3 and I hope Carbonneau finally calls a timeout and reads them the riot act.

I don't agree with the decision, but I believe in Price 100%.

i honestly thought whoever won game 3 would take the series...but obviously if we win game 4, we're back to a 3 game series with 2 at home, so this is a must win situation, you really don't wanna be in a 3-1 hole, i think that goes without saying.

I can only think of two bad goals Price has let up and both were against Boston. I guess you guys aren't goalies...

He cost us game 3 with a bad rebound on a longshot, then that other goal where he played the puck and shouldn't have cost us game 5.

All the other so-called bad goals have been deflections and screens from far away. People criticized Huet for that too. NOT HIS FAULT. Those goals go in against anyone. Very hard to stop because you can't see the release point and lose sight of the puck. Remember, all these guys can shoot now because of the sticks.

as per Habs I/O...

Canadiens coach Guy Carbonneau says he hasn't yet decided on his goalie for tomorrow's Game 4, and adds that it won't be decided until game time.

That said, Carey Price was in the dressing room after today's practice long before Jaroslav Halak, who mopped up Game 3, and was in high spirits in a long chat with the media. Price's earlier arrival suggests he gets the start, and Carbo's Cheshire-cat grin suggested he knew much more than he was letting on.

Obviously..........
Price is going to be the NHL's version of Bi-polar disorder.
I predict shutout #3 in Game 4.

I was just posting the update from NHL.com.

Personally, the article sounds like everything said from last night and they just threw that line in there.

So basically what your saying is, a guy like Roy and Brodeur who do manage to make those saves, it's a fluke right? But when Carey Price misses them, it's not his fault. So the careers of Roy and Brodeur were merely flukes then rofl

Sorry but come on, if your positioned properly you'll be able to stop a screened shot, if your postioned properly you'll be able to stop deflections(sometimes). If guys like Brodeur and Roy can do it, it isn't a mere fluke, it's skill. Price COULD have made many of the saves he let in and did blow games cause of it.

Wanna know what wasn't a fluke? Price letting in 10 goals in 2 games, that wasn't a fluke.

I like Price, but I'm not just going to blindly follow him like the messiah come on wake up, the kid isn't fully prepared yet. He will be one of the greats, I'm sure of it, but many of the goals or oppertunities the other teams have gotten lately have been a result of price or markov and there's no denying it. You don't have to be a goalie to have eyes, not be blind, and see a hockey game that has multiple replays lol....

Bad decision. Everyone is sticking up for Price all the time-this goal was this guys fault, the D had his stick out on this one, this one was.... But when it comes down to it, you just have to stop the puck the way other goalies deal with it. The canadians played with more life in front of Halak, and he was good - they should have road the hot goalie. Price will be a great goalie, but it may not be his time now, he was the reason for giving the bruins a breath of life, when they should have been extinguished earlier.

Agreed.

All we need is a few pucks to go in and things will be alright.

This reminds me of the Gerber situation when we played Carolina a few years ago, he was awful and we scored so many goals in the first 2 games, then they came back with Ward.

I'm not comparing Gerber and Price I'm comparing the situation, Price is not confident right now, I realize he's only 20 and I'm a huge fan, but the reality is he's rattled
