wow they cancelled the series and the rest of this game already?

I didnt know it was first who won two games and the first period meant that you win the series.

This gets my nomination for dumbest thread of the year. Was the season over last friday when Dubinsky hit the empty-net? Give me a f--king break.

This is absurd. Avery was a monster in the Devils series playing with Gomez, and the Straka-Dubi-Jagr line has been the best line by far.

Hey if you want Straka gone, I'd love to have him back on the Pens.

He's playing very well, and if he wasn't playing against the Penguins, I'd be cheering him on.

unlike everyone else, im going to play devils advocate and agree with the OP.

we havent gone back to those lines even once.

Those lines played superb defense.

superb offense, and most importantly WON.

whether the straka jagr dubi line is dominant or not, those combinations of 9 players just flat out destroyed the opposition. If I were coaching this team, those would be the lines I throw out there for game 4.

Playing very well? Jagr set him up 10 times for beautiful deflections and he put everyone of them to the boards. He's done. Hands are the first thing to go.

i am a huge malkin fan, so this comes with some bias. however, i have always loved drury so its hard to see the NYR struggling (i am also a huge lundqvist fan)

sometimes its not a matter of blame. sometimes a series just does not go your way. everything seems to be going in for PIT and nothing for the rangers.

i watch the games and i think all the NYR players are giving their all. its just not enough when malkin and sid and hossa are on the other side giving their all.

yes straka missed a lot of shots. but he also scored, and he was getting to the slots to get those shots. malkin missed an open net too. should he be ditched by PIT? i think the original poster is writing off straka too soon.

there is no question the rangers need to re-tool some this offseason. i for one think they need a new coach just to change the mental outlook. i don't blame reenney but after two tough playoff loses it might be time for a fresh approach.

one nice thing to see for rangers fan had to be Jagr last night. i have never been a jagr fan, but i have always respected his talent. last night he played with more energy and emotion than i had ever seen from him. even when he was in PIT for the cups i don't remember that kind of effort (could be because things came easier back then). if jagr has that kind of fire next season the rangers will be in good shape!

good luck rangers fans, i know i've wrote this series off but you guys could still make it interesting.

We've been saying it since the end of the season. Avery was a beast with Dubi and Jags, Dawes was actually able to be located with Gomez and Shanahan, and Straka couldn't defer to Jagr when he played with Drury and Callahan. Renney's biggest mistake, AFAIC...next to dressing Hollweg last night.

It ended when Gomez hit the post in the second period.

Its 4-3 Rangers there and Hollweg doesnt take that ******** penalty.
