Boston??? Sadly, I don't think Boston works anymore, meaning that Seguin will not have two degrees separation to Mike Sillinger... unless i'm missing someone. Recchi and Sillinger both played for the 1998-99 Flyers, but not at the same time.

Carolina - also does not appear to work
Colorado - again...
Dallas - maybe Woywitka...
Toronto - doesn't appear to work
Toronto is fine: Sjostrom played with Sillinger in Phoenix in 03-04

If and when Trent Whitfield suits up for the Bruins this year, there will be a connection. They both played together on the 2005-06 Blues.

he's currently the director of player development for the Oilers' so you can add a lot of the younger players

Dallas is fine...Woywitka & Sillinger played together in STL

http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/boxscore?gameId=251110019

Looks like it's just Carolina & Colorado who won't qualify this season, barring roster moves.

If I'm not mistaken, this thread is why the internet, and forums in specific, were invented. Congrats to the thread starter and the brilliant historians for utterly, totally, and completely destroying my brain.

This thread is the best ever made in the history of hockey forums. Regarding Cleary and any other Wings player who has played for Detroit the past 15 years. Lidstrom ruins it all, Mike Sillinger played with Nicklas Lidstrom in Detroit in 91-92 to 94-95.

There's your 2 degrees

edit: I forgot about Osgood too lol. He played with Sillinger in Detroit between 93-95

Hossa played with Lidstrom in Detroit in 09-10 and Lidstrom played with Sillinger like stated in the previous post.

Just throwing this out there, but i'm two degrees removed from Mike Sillinger, and thus if everyone on this forum were to play hockey one day, you'd all be three degrees from Mike Sillinger... BOOM.

There's no chance we could get him to unretire and suit up for one game with each of those teams, is there? Some real close misses in those teams--- Chara, for instance, on the Bruins, missed playing with Sillinger by one season on the Sens.

Trent Whitfield and Sillinger played in St. Louis together, so most of the Bruins are still covered. Hopefully he'll be back this year/next to cover rookies.

right now it looks like boston, carolina, and chicago are the only teams that do not have a former teammate of mike sillinger.

Havnt bothered to do the legwork, but that mostly leaves rookies on those teams uncovered. Since i think all of those teams were covered last year, anyone older should be covered unless they came in after rookie seasons in dallas or montreal.
