Alex Ovechkin, he brought a crappy team pretty far for what they were expected to do.

I can't justify Iginla or Malkin over Ovechkin in my head.

Ovechkin could have had the trophy even if his team would not have make the playoffs. As good as Huet was down the stretch, you know that season was solely on Ovechkin as a hockey player, as a motivator, as everything.....

Ovy. Second would be Malkin 'cause of his work when Crosby wasn't there. He just took his team on his back. Iginla is still a great hockey player. But there's only one winner.

There's a reason they're called the Washington Ovechkins. I would really like him to win it, he's just awesome.
Malkin is also pretty awesome. But Ovechkin? LOVE HIM.

Clearly Ovechkin. Then I would put Iginla just a tad over Malkin. Remember, it's not about the best player but about the most valuable. Although I commend Malkin for what he did with Crosby out of the lineup, Iginla was clearly the most valuable to his team through all 82 games.

Ovechkin by a landslide, but credit to Malkin for stepping up his game when Crosby was hurt.

Side note: I can't wait to hear Ovechkin's acceptance speech, I'll definitely be watching the award show this year.

Ovechkin is the right answer, but if I had a vote I would say Malkin, he stepped it up and took over his team when Crosby was hurt, disproving alot of critics who felt the Pens would struggle without Sid the Kid.

MVP is for the SEASON, not for a certain point of a season when a player picks up his play

This poll would be so much cooler if it was 69-0 instead of 68-1.

Thanks a LOT dutchy

You can't say anybody except Ovechkin!!! Nobody has done for their team, what Ovy has done for the Caps.

He lead them all season long and carried them into the playoffs on his back.

Malkin played great and so did Iginla....but they didn't do as well as Ovy and they didn't mean as much to their team as Ovy did either....so that alone means that Ovechkin should win the Hart hands down.

As great a season Malkin had his supporting cast is so much stronger and they were in a playoff position the whole season, Ovey on the other hand wins in a landslide because his supporting cast isn't quite as strong and he carried this team on his shoulders and into the playoffs!

Hat trick for Ovey in Hart, Art Ross and Maurice Richard.
