Another Gorges Appreciation Thread

What an incredible player. We should have given Rivet and OUR 1st rounder for him. Give this kid 25 mins a game he deserves it and will make it worth our while. He's one of the only players that actually give a **** on this team and never stops fighting. Lock him up long-term, he should be in the teams plans for years to come.

Really? I thought he had a Hell of a game. Even without the goal.

I remember a really good defensive cover on Carter at one point, in the first period I believe.

Anyway, he's not one you can complain about very much. Solid every game, and gives it his all.

Every time he pinched it was the wrong read, always got caught

Missed the net far side about 10 times, consistently leading to odd man rushes

There was a few more things I can't think of right now because Im too mad

but this isn't an attack on Georges, if the rest of the Habs had as many bad games as he's had they be in the Conference Final by now

Maybe I saw a different game than you guys. I thought he played very well and was our best defender tonight. Not that it's saying much...

I was actually really impressed with Markov, defensively at least.

Gorges has definitely surpassed expectations by far, very impressed with him this year ... too bad he wasn't just a little bit bigger, but that's not his fault.

Personally I thought he played well, I liked the combo of him and Cube.

I only watched the first half of the game attentively. He may have had a good second half of the game but I thought he and Boullion weren't too good in the first half.

Overall, this kid as awesome... not great offensively, but gives it all out every shift and rarely gets beat on 1vs1 - even if he's outmatched physically he still manages to make the right play in the defensive zone...

he's way better than most bottom pairing D we see troughout the league.

I think he did a great job in the last couple of games, overall. Yeah, a little shaky earlier in the last game, but overall, he's shown up.
