Sorry... It is my fault we are loosing

I just wanted to apologise because I have to take full responsability for the loses we have had against the flyers... After the first game, (a victory) I am starting to get it on with my girlfriend and as we are in the heat of the action, she tells me I reminded her of her ex-husband because I was kissing her with my playoff beard - I can't grow a beard for the life of me - and her ex was a very hairy dude. She did not like me having a beard and I did not like she was thinking about him while we were getting busy so I stood up and went shave before finishing what we had started... As soon as I finished shaving a feeling of guilt came upon me and I knew we were doomed... Result: we have been outplaying them but lost the last three games.

But really, what could I have done? Do my gf while she is thinking about her ex or shave? I know now I should have just not kissed her and kept my "beard" (or the few hairs on my face).

Sorry guys I will know better next year.

Did she really tell you you reminded her of her ex-boyfriend while making out?

Ouch.

You should have said you were imagining the Habs hoisting the Cup and not her either.

couldn't you have kept the beard and just directed her to another area that was clean shaven and trimmed?

It is natural we are men, there is only one thing that can ever threaten the playoff beard. You fell victim to the trap. Immediately begin growing a new beard and ask forgiveness from the ghosts.

It is not too late to turn this around.

I dont know whats funnier: you exposing your less than stellar love life to us
or you being still with her after she told you she was reminded of another man by you...

I'll stop now before i become downright mean.

Okay. Enough of this. Here's the straight answer from a girl:
It doesn't remind her of an ex, she just told you that because she knew it would make you shave.
She was either sick of getting scratched by it or she just thought it was ugly.

I'm a girl, IP. I know how we think. She knew telling him to get rid of a playoff beard wasn't gonna work cause a)it's a guy thing b)it's a sports thing and c)it's telling him what to do. So while a guy would just think there's no chance and give up, a girl will get manipulative.
Best way to hit a guy below the belt? Bring up the ex. Works like a charm.
*For the record, I would never get between a guy and hockey playoffs. I suspect LW11 wouldn't either.

Women are so confusing at times....WHY????
My gf will be all sympathetic and cheer for the Habs when they are losing and than poke at my game loss wounds afterwards....granted, she's a Leafs fan, but why the fake pity, cheering and understanding

I highly doubt you were in bed with anyone but yourself. But in case you really were in female company, next time pay her a little more, she'll like you just fine.
