Bring Back Jagr?

I know this is right in the middle of a playoff run where we are close to elimination...

obviously, Jagr is playing very well.. I know I'd get different choices if he hadn't scored in 10 games...

But do we bring him back next year? If so, at what price for a maximum?

Games like tonight, I agree... Through the ups and downs of the regular season though, I think Drury is more suitable (Plus I think Jags plays better w/out it...)

Score Dubi!!!

Why wouldn't you want him on this team? Guy is still one of the best players in the league even at his age.

Love to see Jagr stay but I'd also like to free up some cap. Jagr ia great leader, things will be different when he is not around. Drury will most likely get the C but no need to rush it.

Why?

If he's playing like this he's the best forward in the world again, next to Malkin.
And who knows why his regular season was so mediocre, but ultimately, it's the playoffs you want to see guys like him up his game.

It'll take 3 or 4 million for two years minimum.

If I could vote yes 150,000 times, I would.

I want him back VERY badly. And what I saw occur tonight brought a tear to my eye, the effort, the way he scored that goal by taking a huge hit. And the crowd chanting his name in recognition of the fact that they may not see him again. Absolutely astounding.

we might not have to worry about it. If we win this series and he keeps playing like he is, he's a Conn Smythe contender

As John Dellapina and Jagr himself said, at 36 years old it is impossible for Jagr to play like this a whole season. So expecting him to play the way he is in the playoffs over the course of a whole season, isn't worth it. Besides, a 71 point season is nothing to scoff at, and it would be hard to replace those points. I really hope he comes back for one more year.

I was always pondered about how a lot of the Ranger fans didn't want Jagr around anymore. I mean he had an off season.. yet, he still managed to lead our team in points during the regular season and is absolutely tearing it up this offseason.

The guy may not show the hustle and will that we all know Jagr used to have. But, when he really wants too. He can be one hell of a player. I don't see why removing the C from Jagr will be great either. Leave the 'C' to him for as long as he stays with us.

Another thing... if anyone thinks replacing Jagr with any other UFA this season. Think again. There is no UFA (other than Hossa) that can compare to the guy. Hossa is most likely headed back to the Penguins because they have a legitimate shot at making the playoffs every year for the next few years or so.

It deserves to be mentioned that the big guy HASN'T MISSED a regular season game in the 3 full years he's been a Ranger... There's no doubt he has gas left in the tank...

Heart says yes, head says no.

As much as I love the guy, I think the team needs to move on.

i'll admit at the time when we were really struggling i wanted him traded for assets but since the all star game he has made me eat my words, i am glad he has.

i want him brought back he is still a force and just thinking tonight could have been his last game and i dont think it should be.

1 more year at least
