Let's use this thread to keep track of our chief competition, down the stretch. We'll try to keep this updated daily with not only scores, but discussion...and hopefully we'll maintain a group effort here.
Notable last night...the Kings don't do us any favors. They lead the Canucks 1-0 until about 2:45 of the 3rd, where Kesler scored to tie it. He scored again in OT to give Vancouver yet another win.
Meanwhile, the Flames blew out the Blues, who are all but completely out of it now.
Who do you guys see as being more prone to a fall-off? The Canucks or Avs?
3 more games against the Dead things....we really need to win almost all of our remaining games. I could see us losing 2, maybe 3 games, but if we lose more than that, I think we are out of the playoffs.
6 of 10 with points in 8 of their last 10......they are having the march that we need! It looks like both of our picks are going to be in the 11-16 range depending on whether or not we or the Panthers are able to make it in.
Flames won against the Liepolds. I've had trouble deciding who to pull for recently but I think the Flames are my new go-to team. They need to beat the Avs and the Nucks early this week- I think we aren't likely to catch anyone but the Avs... but the Nucks are the next best hope.
The paper had interesting stats (in a Climer article????) from a statistics guru today that has the Preds at 99%+ chance of being in if they win out, 80%+ if the go 5-1 and still over 50% if they go 4-1-1.
