Even though the Habs lost tonight and played their last game of their season, I just have this optimistic feeling deep down inside me. I'm not pissed nor sad after the loss but just a feeling that bigger things will happen to the Habs in a near future. Tonight's game was just unbelievable in terms of excitement (ups and downs).

I would like to take the time to say a big thanks to each and everyone on the team and also to the entire management team for the great season they gave to us fans. They never gave up (so many wins after coming from behind) and also I really like the team spirit shown throughout the entire season.

I ****ing love this team and will always love them no matter what. I feel excitement already thinking about next season. I'm still going to follow the NHL playoffs since I truly enjoy playoff hockey.

Awesome season for the "Canadien". Carbo will get himself an Adams for the effort. Price and the youngsters got some very valuable post season experience and I expect some domination out of this squad, who will be angry next year. The table is set for a Cup on the 100 year anniversary. Go Habs!

Congrats on a great regular season. Nobody expected us to be in the series, finishing 1st is just incredible.

Can't help to be madly dissapointed 'cause we should have won this series.

Dude,

With no disrespect, I can't compare this Habs team to the Pens team last year.

As far as I know, the Habs do not have any players waiting in the wings like Crosby or Malkin.

I hate to say this (and I am just speaking honestly, not trying to start trouble, but, I expect the Canadiens to have a lot of trouble just to make the plaoffs next year!)

I had not heard that Habs were getting Viiy L. but wow, that would be great!

As far as I know he still has (at least) one year remaining on his contract with Tampa so I guess Gainey would have to give up something substantial to get him!!

This team surpassed most people's expectations before season started - even those of us that predicted that we'd be "pleasantly surprised" (those were my words here when I tried to forecast the season).

The thing that keeps me going is that this is a young team that still progressing. Players like the Kostitsyns, Plekanec, Higgins, Latendresse, Gorges, Komisarek, O'Byrne, Price, Halak will continue to get better. Vets like Kovalev, Koivu, Markov, Hamrlik will also be around to help the youngters progress. And there are a few other prospects in the wings.

The team could use a little reinforcements, but I think we're finally going to have that team that will be competitive year after year and it's a great feeling.

Really?

It wasn't particularly heartbreaking for me. Game 6 against Carolina was much worse, because we actually had a good chance in that series and blew it... And it was OT.

The game to win this year was on Wednesday. Because we lost that, today was almost blah when it came to emotion for me.
