As for the playoffs, yeah, he let in some weak goals. But it wouldn't have mattered if he didn't make all the saves he did in the first place.

Not to mention, how do you win a series when five (5) goals in the final four (4) games.

You can blame it on Huet all you want, but you need to blame our offense even more.

Bad goals by your goalie plays a roll on your offence.
Offence stops playing thinking whats the point if our goalie is gonna give up a softie anyway.

I dont care what Huet did for us in the reg. season. I dont feel bad for all the heat he faces and in all honesty, Im happy he's gone.

Considering he wasn't even supposed to be a starter in the NHL, I think he's doing pretty well for himself.

We all know that I love Carey Price. I've said it many times. And yeah, he was horrible against Philadelphia.. but I still trust in him. The same way I would trust in Huet if he was still wearing the CH.

You feel sorry for me because I dont think Huet is top 10.
I feel sorry for you because you think Brisebois is good.

Guys don't turn this into a Huet bashing festival. Been there, done that, not the thread for it.

I know I started it but wasn't the intention....really....

Anybody who can see the game, how about our boys? Doing good?

I know how you feel about Carey, deep down underneath all those Brisebois PJ's you have Price underwear!

Huet has done well for himself, he's not a bad goalie at all. I'm not sure i agree with you putting him in the league's top 10, but I think I could slot him in the top 15.

Goalies in the NHL better than Huet.... Not in order, just numbered to show that Huet is not a top 10 goalie

1) Brodeur
2) Luongo
3) Nabakov
4) Kipprusoff
5) Turco
6) Leclaire
7) Lundqvist
8) Vokoun
9) Giguere
10) DiPietro
11) Fleury
12) Backstrom
13) Toskala
14) Bryzgalov
15) Miller

Huet doesn't crack the top 15 seriously.

no offence dude i feel sorry for your lack of thought, dont even try to debate any of these guys ahead of huet no particular order.

Fleury
Brodeur
Luongo
Lundqvist
Turco
Vokoun
Giguere
Nabokov
Kipper
Bryzgalov

add Biron/Miller, maybe Cam Ward, and even still a few more that could be argued, keep dreaming.

For me;

1. Brodeur
2. Lundqvist
3. Luongo
4. DiPietro
5. Kipprusoff
6. Nabokov
7. Giguere
8. Backstrom
9. Huet
10. Turco

Leclaire, Fleury, Ellis, Brygalov & Price are all on the outside looking in (need to prove themselves for another season before I give them a Top-10 spot).

Cam Ward (needs to prove he can get back to the level he did during his run), Martin Biron, Ryan Miller and Jose Theodore are great goalies too ... but they have a lot more to prove.

Huet while being a Hab-"Top 10 goalie for sure". After being traded not even Top-14. Funny, but predictable.

Not to mention Price is better then Huet.

He just needs to work on consistency, I think he is exhausted from the amount of hockey he played the past year though.... Should be interesting to see him next season.

It's a matter of opinion, man. Tak'er easy.

I'm sure that there are a lot of people who think Huet is not a Top-10 goalie, but I'm damn sure there are a lot of people who think he is a Top-10 goalie.

And what did Huet prove exactly for him to get on your list? That he could be a good goalie for half a season?

Its easy to say he's a top 10 goalie, till you write down the list of the top ten goalies and then I realize he's just not there.

Andrei Kostitsyn is such a goon. I think he leads the league in PIM/game now.

No kidding, that kid seriously needs to work on his decision making on the ice. You can see it in his eyes too, like "jesus price, I can't believe I did it again"

On an inferior team then the ones Huet played on, it is a team game at the end of the day. Whats your point?

The Sabres were not a better team than us this season, AND they had several injuries and lost campbell in a trade.
