Come on, the WWE is the only answer. They're all pansies, constantly getting knocked out for 5 minutes from a small bump....if this were the WWE, Ribeiro would have been have to knock out Masenhoven.
I think it's wrong (but typical) to see a post like this after Habs elimination night. Let the excuses begin. A sly way to place the blame on the officials when it was, in fact, the Habs themselves that let it slip away. Goes to show the talent in this league. Every team gets the shaft from time to time on penalty calls, and others get caught red-handed. It's all part of the game.
What may be a penalty in the eyes of one referee is just play on for another ref. That's the problem in hockey. Take the example of Price getting his glove tangled with the Philly player only to receive a 5 on 3 penalty in game 5 when in a previous game, Biron held the stick of a Montreal forward and got away with it. There is that arguement where people believe regular season hockey should be officiated a certain way and playoff hockey should be officiated more leniently...as if they're going by 2 different rule books. Refs should make the same calls in the playoffs as they have been doing in the regular season.
I've been saying for a while that the leagues officiating is a joke and its the reason why no one watches the damn game outside of Canada, heck even in Canada less and less people watch the game. How can someone who just started watching hockey understand whatta hell is going on when each game, let alone each period is called differently.
I my self barely watch now because I just can't stand the officiating. I am a Sens fan and the officiating that I've witnessed in our first round spanking was just ridiculous.

Well the only thing you've made apparent in your post is that you don't watch any sports beside hockey. Bad officiating exists at the same level and usually worse in ever other sport. Hockey has it pretty good and you'd know this if you watch any other sport regularly.
Also, less people in Canada are watching hockey? lol

Officating is by far the most inconsistant in hockey.
Its just a difficult sport to police, alot going on the ice at a fast pace coupled with difficult rules to enforce probbably makes it the worst officated sport.
This isnt to say the refs are not doing there best at there job but with the advent of a speed game, tighter rules and more embelishment its just impossible job to do unless you just stop making calls all together.

Its not just in our serie. Flyers shouldn't even have eliminated the Caps with that completely ridiculous goal.
I don't see why Morrow's goal was disallowed because it was a DISTINCT Kicking Motion, when he doesn't even know where the puck is, and Richards's goal yesterday with a clear hand in the way is allowed.
I don't understand why a team that prones discipline will get penalized at the end of the game because the refs alway try to even out the number of calls during a game.
I don't get why they let a lot of penalties slide during the game, but will make a call at the end of a 3rd period on a penalty they let slide time after time earlier during the same game...
Its not just with the Habs, its like that for every game in every serie.
And its not just the series, its been like that for the whole season.
