And can someone tell me this guy's Q/P? He's actually 73/71, but the guy just won't train for me. When he plays friendlies, he's on the PP & PK and Cagle's line. Every once in a while he'll train like he should, but it's not often enough. He trained at 19% yesterday. Jasper Boles with 58Q (and a clutch of other crap Q players) trained at 22%. It's been that way since I got him. He was going to be a future Atomic, but he's starting to get on my bad side.

That's fantastic. Was he the back-up or a bench player? London's my back-up, but I have the tactics set where it would have to be 6-1 for him to get in. I need to get him some experience. He's already 2 years older than Chance. Did you start scouting him yet, or is one already in progress?

Have you reached 80/80 yet? I keep hearing that the bump there is much bigger than the others. I'm looking forward to that

Due to playing relatively weaker teams early on (some were a little stronger than me) I'm now 4-1! 3rd place! 30 goals for and 5 against.

I'm playing a strong team tonight so I'm throwing this one to regain some TS (i'm on nervous now). Finally rolling 4 lines too hahah. Man.

I do need to start thinking about overhauling my 4th line into a youth line thing if I'm in a good spot still after a couple more games. I need to get them some EXP and keep improving.

We should come up with some helpful tips for new teams. Then have that added to the first post, as well. Stadium stuff, position requirements, training tips, market help. Stuff like that. Have the list of teams and all of that sweet info to start each thread. Any new HF players would be golden.

"Don't hate me..."

That guy sounds just like Steven North, except I pulled him at the end of the season. He's now 22yo with 118AI, but only 41P remaining. He's a rock. In fact, his nickname is 'Stoney' North. He'll be a good player for a long time, but not quite so good that anyone will try to steal him from you when he's a UFA So you should be very happy. You've got a solid player for around 10 seasons.

In yet another bout of insanity, I acquired my 8th goalie. Just another 'get for free, train for 1-2 seasons and sell high' project, but still...

I put him in as the backup, If I am gonna keep him, I have to get him to train as best as he can for it to be worth it. My best player trained at 40% yesterday, he is an 85 quailty winger. Too bad my scouted 87Q goalie couldn't train at 40

I am at 79/79 right now but 80/80 is only a day or two away, I don't remember if its one or two days right now. then I'll get my bottom half to 50/40/50 (its at 47/37/47 right now). After that Ill get TR to 100 and then If I am not promoting, I will probably have to stop building.

Ask as many questions as you need to. We've all been there.

Quickly, build Training & Regen as much as possible. Get Youth School to 20. When T/R reach 40, get youth school to 40. Get T/R to 60/60, then move YS to 60. etc.

Don't spend too much in the market, but do spend too much on a great goalie. Most of us spent 5M on a goalie with 40 goal and around 40 speed. Those are the most important attributes for goalies. You might be able to find similar goalies for a bit less, or a bit more. NHL33 actually recommended going as high as 10M on a goalie. Some recommend getting an older experienced goalie, but I went with young guy and he dominated V.6.

You can spend all the way down to -14M. You will live there for several seasons. If you go below -14M, you won't be able to build stadium or buy players until you're above -14M. If you get below -30M they will lock your account until you're back above -30M. Don't even get close to it.

Goalies train worse than the skaters, so 33% is pretty good. London has hit 34 a couple of times, but he's usually 29-30%.

I lost 2-0 on low but it was to a demoter from III.

I knew I would lose and I am fighting to avoid relegation so even goal differential I have to be weary of. I switched the tactics accordingly and only lost by two goals to a great team so although my tactics switch ensured I wouldn't score any goals it helped me with goal differential.

After 6 games I sit in 12th place with 6 points, with a 2 point lead over the 13th place team. I am 3 points back of the 8th and final playoff spot.

I already gave you props on the HA site, but good work this season. glad to see you experiencing success.

I've moved up to 6th in III.2 early in the season. Right now it looks like I have a good chance of staying up. My second line has scored 0 goals so far this season which is disturbing, but my first line has been on fire.

I actually have a player leading in goals, and another leading in defensive points. First time I've ever led either category this late in the season. My goalie is dead last in the league, though. Big change from last year when he was first.

I've been looking for a superstar Forward to add to my lineup. I think my team could really benefit from another solid goalscorer.

Lost 3-2 to a team roughly 20 AI points ahead of me. Played on normal so it was nice to the boys keep it close. I'm sitting 2nd in the league in Goals For which is also very nice, but almost half of those came from an 11-1 victory. He also only ran 3 lines against my 4, so all in all it was a great game.

I'm sitting in 6th now after the loss, but I'm only 3 points back of 1st. It really is a tight race, I'm also 6 points up on relegation right now so I'm doing pretty good right now. My goal at the beginning of the season was pretty high, I wanted to challenge for a playoff spot and right now I think I'm doing a pretty good job.

Another game, another win! I'm 6-0! First two seasons in league IV.4 I had 10 and 11 wins respectively. Now I'm at 6-0 and thinking about the playoffs for the first time in this league. Granted, I haven't played any of the top 4 teams in the league in terms of AI, but I'm feeling good!

So I did end up playing on low against the winless blakk sabboth team. 5-3, gave up more goals than I'd have liked, but a win is a win!!!

Wow. I can't believe I won again. I have NO players on top Points, Goals or Defense Points, I do however have the 2nd best Save %. I have 8 goals for and 5 goals against and I'm 4 wins 1 tie and a loss. I have NO idea how I became... NOT a bottom feeder. My goal still stands at trying to avoid relegation.

Nice work, njdevs. We've been in a similar situation for 3 seasons now. Isn't it nice to finally arrive?

Yeah, I'm quite happy with the season so far, but I'm being realistic. Most of it has to do with the lower level of competition. I'm now 4th in top 22AI. I went from borderline playoff team, to a favorite for home ice. It's almost disappointing. I liked the fact that this league was so tough. Now it's almost embarrassing. Do you realize that 3 of the last 4 demotees have either gone MIA or lost their teams altogether? That's ridiculous. Icers is the only one left and they're just middle of the league in AI. The more I look at it the worse this league gets.

I'm surprised to see you in the playoff hunt already. I'm not surprised to see Giusseppe Stecca letting you down. He let me down all last season

Do you have a shot at the playoffs? Or is this season all about survival? And how much are you going to spend on a superstar forward?
