Price was playing injured!

As per rds.ca

For people that can't read french :

Price basically said that he did play while injured. He didn't go into details but said he wasn't 100% both physically and mentally.

So an injured Price > Halek

That's some kind of faith the coaches have in Halek.

Price said he was not 100% but would not go into details about what the injury is.

The article says - Price confirmed that he wasn't playing with 100% of his physical and mental capacities but didn't want to get into it more than that.

Doesn't really confirm much really. This could mean anything.

Well someone had better because I require a reason as to why he played so poorly in the later part of playoffs. I also require a reason he was picked to play over a healthy Halak.

Yeah as Jaydee posted, it just says that he wasn't at 100% and wouldn't elaborate.

Leave it to a Senaturds fan to find the absolute most negative aspect in an otherwise REALLY difficult situation for everyone concerned.

In hindsight, playing Halak in game 4 should've been a good clue -- give Price a 5-day rest when he's clearly not at his best.

He had delusions and thought he was Andrew Raycroft!

I told you he was injured.
Physically he will eventually heal. Let's hope that the mental damage is not irreversible.

I wouldn't be worried about Price's mental resolve.

He didn't portray the confidence that he normally shows, so it doesn't surprise me that he was playing injured.

That's so ********.
Price admitted he was hurt but didn't want to say what it was.

So either Price kept it a secret, or the coaching staff knew he was hurt and played him anyway, cause they didn't believe in Halak.

I'm thinking it's just a cover to take some pressure off him.

It was his glove hand. He played with his glove that had extra padding on it in the final game of our season. It can't be much more apparent than that.
