Going to miss this conference, heading off to work at that time. Gives me something to look forward to checking out when I get home tonight.

Yeah, I'll miss it too. Have to watch Sports Centre tonight to see the "what's up" and so on...

Will miss it. Lookign forward to reading summaries here, which, as always, will be 100 better than the RIS/Sportscenter version.

Could watch it. But it's probably going to be boring as always.

Humm.. Great work by the kids, we felt short because of lack of experience, will do better next year, will make a splash this summer blah blah blah....

I agree with everything you said except the "splash this summer" portion....Chances are he'll say that we'll look from within first since it's pretty weak for this year. Gainey will NOT promise anything as far as UFA's are concerned.....been there, done that....

For the first year, I'm not expecting anything as far as this press conference is concerned. 'Cause it will turn out as "better than expected, at least from the majority of the journalists present here today", we will be better 'cause our young kids will be better, we're turning the corner....

I think that the biggest thing he'll say is that we have to stop fighting for a playoff spot but we need to believe that we'd be contender from now......but in the same token we'll remind people that parity has made it possible for the Flyers to go from the worst team to a 3rd round team in 1 year.....

Anyway, we'll see what happen.....but I'm not expecting anything. Gainey cannot dissapoint me, can only surprise me....

Come back to this thread later on, I'm sure someone will type out all that was said.

Edit: Thanks Beaker for letting us know it was on the score.

Apparently Brunnstrom has spent 2 days in Montreal and has met with BG. Not sure if it was mentionned here before (maybe in the Brunnstrom thread) but that's news to me. The Habs may indeed have more interest in him than i originally thought.
