Maybe when Gerber goes on a cold streak this guy can get hot and vise versa till Elliott is ready.

You think Murray is scouting the World Championship for players? He should be but I have my doubts.

Chicago signed Antti Niemi the other day who put up a 26-6-14 record with a 2.35 goals against average and .927 save percentage for Pelicans of the Finnish Elite League. That should have been a guy Murray was hard after, I'm worried about his willingness and/or ability to find talent overseas.

the last european goalie from a second tier hockey nation, that stood on his head vs canada that we signed hasn't turned out so great so I'm a little hesitant on this one.

Pass. One great game means nothing. Everyone gets the odd lucky game.

My suggestion would be to stay the hell away from him... He is actually guite brutal.. but he can be good/lucky a few games every year... Today was one of those games..

I'd take his advice over some disgruntled sens fan who only saw him play today, thats like saying we should sign the slovakian goalie.

We should, he has those awesome tiny little pads and can still play.

Jokes, in all seriousness though, I though the Slovakian goaltender was amazing too, especially with pads half the size of NHL goalies.

oh, i'm pretty sure he could actually improve the sens goaltending.

grotnes is sometimes hardly good enough for the norwegian league. he even played in france (!) and some seasons in 2nd-tier in sweden.
he is able to steal 2-3 games when playing for norway, but don't play him more than that. you wouldn't like the outcome.

He was better then the Norway IMO.
But that does not mean he's consistent, if a slovakian could give us a scouting report on him and said he was very reliable id say go ahead and let him challenge for the starting job.

Levente Szuper?

(Just kidding; that would be a good idea though)

Both of them suck but this guy is cheaper. It wouldn't hurt as much knowing we're paying our crappy goaltender only 700k compared to 3.7M$...
