The I can't wait til next season because... thread

Just felt like making a thread. Post one thing at a time about why you can't wait until next season .

I can't wait to hear this again at the Garden because no one in the world does it better.

New Season = New Hope. The playoffs just aren't the same w/o the boys in blue.

The seven dwarfs are down in the mines when there is a cave-in.
Snow White runs to the entrance and yells down to them.
In the distance a voice shouts out the Islanders are good enough to win the Stanley Cup!
Snow White says "Well at least Dopey's alive!"

Because it sucks to sign on and see 10 threads with player's names on them and why they would all be such a great fit and available for only Prucha.

...Lauri Korpikoski makes his regular season debut as a 3rd liner...a position he maintains throughout the season.

to see the emergence of some more younger players. They have led us back to respectability, now they'll lead us deeper into the playoffs.

Thats how i felt about this past season, which im still very disappointed about.

Right now i don't see a better season on the horizon, which is why i would not re-sign Jagr.

I'll be more excited about the "new" beginning of this team if they went on without him.

same here.... but hey the Jets will surprise people this year, and at least Minaya and Randolph should (i pray) be fired. so there could be some good coming.

I also can't wait for the season to start to read about all the complaints of who we did or didn't sign... it's always interesting to see how peoples moods about certain players change so fast.

... The offseason feels so slow when there's nothing to do.

... You can't find something to do during every day of the summer.

... I really need my hockey fix, and watching other teams doesn't really help.

Because I'll be home in Westchester for the first time in 4 years for the start of hockey season now that college is over so I can actually attend games regularly again.

I can't wait to hear why Jake1970 thinks Lundy is the worst top 3 goalie in the league.

Because I just miss seeing the boys play. It hasn't been two weeks and I already miss going to the Garden.

Also because the Yankees' offense (or lack thereof) makes me want to cry.
