Carle/Weber/Subban Poll

Simple Poll,

All three are right-handed offensive minded defense. Doubtfully all three will spend their careers with Montreal as they play similar types of games so it brings up the question.

Which of the three do you people think will become the best career and become the best NHL player? Consider all factors: offense, defense, physical play, leadership and so on...

No brainer - WEBER.

Why you might ask I pick him instead of P.K.

Well, here we go:

- Similar numbers like P.K offensively
- More reliable defensively
- Harder shot (actually the hardest in the OHL)
- Leadership (look how Kitchener did when they lost him to injury).

But all in all, I'd like to take both Weber and P.K and trade Carle for something else. What about Fischer?!? Does he still exist?

He has the hardest slapshot and is only 5'10"? That's quite impressive. I hope he's gonna be a better version of M-A Bergeron.

- Weber will be the most complete
- Subban will be the best puck carrier
- Carle will be in between

That's how i see it for now.

I still think that drafting Fischer was a mistake. Giroux , Sanguinetti , Mitera , or Berglund would have been better choices imho. Hell at this point i'd pick Wishart over him as well. Our prospect pool would look even better with one of these guys instead of Fischer (especially Giroux or Sanguinetti).

Anyway , what's done is done so i just hope that The Fisch will surprise me and make me eat crow.

Fischer is behind Subban, Weber, Carle and Valentenko in his development. Mc Donough might even be better than him right now. You wiin some and you loose some. With Timmins, it's already more wins than losses.

Fischer took a huge, huge leap this year. So let's give him next year to see if he can be even better. I'm not upset with picking him at all.

As for this poll? Weber. He's just more complete than Subban. People can say Subban has heart, but Weber does as well, even if he doesn't make it so obvious. Weber also has one of the best point shots in all of minor hockey (and the hardest!).

Anybody watch any of these kids play?

Carle/Weber/Valentenko/McDonaugh/Fischer/Subban

of all these defensemen if you've seen them play, rate the following from 0-5

Speed 0-5
Shot 0-5
Offensively 0-5
Defensively 0-5
Passing 0-5
Puck Handling 0-5
Likeliness of being an NHLer (0 being none, 1 being unlikely, 2 being maybe, 3 being likely, 4 being near certain, 5 being a guarantee)

Thanks in advance for anyone who can fill in these blanks for me. I haven't really seen much of their play other then valentenko which I remember nothing about him.

McDonagh is our #1 D prospect as far as i'm concerned. As for Valentenko , i'm not sure. I would say that he's probably #3 behind McDO and Weber.

Carle as improved at the speed of light, if this guy continue he could become as good as the other two. I cannot choose between Webber and Subban since i have not seen anything from except interviews, and Subban was the better of two talkingwise.

McDonagh is the type that can do just about everything well. He's got decent size, strength, skating/speed, plays physical, moves the puck well, will jump into the rush, has a decent point shot. He plays a safe game in his own end and has shown some offensive upside as well.

Valentenko is climbing up the depth charts for sure. He is one of our most physical d prospects, has a cannon of a shot, and while I don't really epect him to provide much offense, I do think he'll be a solid bottom pairing D that is very physical.

Korneev ??!?

The guy is already 24 years old and is rated as a 3.0B by HF. I don't think he will ever make the NHL , at least not with the Habs. Basically he's at the bottom of our D prospect list behind guys like Cepek , Kishel , Paquet and Torp. I can understand that you may like him and i don't understand how he's #1 on your list.

What do you see in him exactly ?

Yep, and now the guy is still a kid. Imagine him putting up some weight, his shot will be a lot harder than Souray's! Right now he does it all with Technique.... correct me if I'm wrong, but I think his shot is at 92 mph already.

Subban. His combination of natural talent and willingness to become a Hab/NHLer is much too strong. Usually when you have one of those things you can make it. He'll be exciting to watch too with his rushes up ice.

How many times have you seen him play? I'm not trying to downplay your opinion, but me (and Beaker) are both very, very high on Korneev.

He's probably a 3.0B because they know he won't come over to North America.
