Sharps 1st goal

Did it go in without any Flyer touching the puck since the faceoff? Its kind of hard working that out from the download on the Flyers site.

Yeah, Sharp lost the faceoff and the Ranger's D to D pass deflected off a skate and into the goal. Since technically Sharp was the last Flyer to touch the puck he gets the goal. I wonder if he gets the goal even if he didn't touch the puck and the Rangers win the faceoff clean. Good thing it wasn't Sharp's first NHL goal, but in 50 years he'd be telling his grandkids he roofed it anyway.

Thats what I was thinking, I always wondered who would get the goal if the puck went in off a clean faceoff loss.

It has to be credited so it would still go to the guy in the faceoff circle. Touched or not Sharp had nothing to do with the goal, but somebody's got to have it.
