ATD Chat Room VI (all non-ATD topics here)

Playoffs 2012 Talk, where Penguins are dirty and terrible, Canucks and Kesler are still diving, and Dustin Brown is murdering people.

the LA-Van game is getting real entertaining , once again I'll lose half my night of sleep because of the damn NHL playoffs , hockey is simply an addiction , no matter how many times I try to convince myself that I don't care anymore , I'm just lying to my own self.

Hockey is in my blood , always was and always will be.

Lapierre was always one of my favorite , but he is a terrible fighter and overall he is pretty much scared to fight , but that's okay , it isn't his game.

He fight a lot more this season and wasn't scared, but yeah he isn't the best. Our best fighter is Bitz who will be back from suspension, angry next game.

Meh. This team hasn't had any heart for a while. pitseleh or someone posted stats about how the team actuayly isnt even better than LA using Corsi or whateveer.

The only thing that pisses me off is PJ Stck. Watching Boudreau school and own him is the best thing ever. Adovacating Bertuzzi? The Canucks need a player like that eh? Cause Bertuzzi geting retribution for a hit on the Canucks captain worked out so well last time, eh PJ?

Thank god I'm old enough to drink now lol. Now I can stay a Canucks fan hahaha.

As long as Jonathan Quick is the best player on the ice more often than not, the Kings have a very strong chance to win the cup. The guy is such a difference maker. To think, there was supposedly a controversy early in the year about who the starter would be in LA.. LMAO!

Pens & Canucks out. The Wings might lose. Even if my Hawks lose (50/50), it's exciting seeing new teams make the 2nd round.

Also, I honestly can't believe that Dustin Brown was ever on the trading block. Brown is EXACTLY the type of player you need in the playoffs to set the tone and his 4 goals so far is a big bonus. The guy is a winner.

The problem with the Canucks isn't coaching (at least the biggest problem)

Their superstars , as great as they are for pts/salary , won't ever be players you can count on when it matters.

They look like they got finished by Kano.

He is pretty damn good. Id take him on my team anyday.

As for us...we have been outcoached every playoff under Vigneault. He just can't adjust during a series to what the opposition is doing (after figuring out our style). He's a tool that will play Aaron Rome over Keith Ballard, or Mason Raymond over Booth or Higgins as well. He needs to go.

And the Sedins aren't the problem either. They can be part of a winner, they have made a former ECHLer into a top line winger, they just need some damn support and balls around them.

You can win with those.. the problem is that there is no heart or soul on the Canucks, PERIOD. Kesler shows it sometimes, but he's a whiny baby most of the time.

Teams have won with non-heart and soul guys as their best player before (by heart and soul, I'm assuming you mean big physical guys that will do what it takes to win). Fedorov, Lidstrom, Modano.. you just need to compensate by having guys like Dustin Brown.

That's why I don't believe you can build around Phil Kessel.

Not sure you can built around Kessel either , but between Kessel or the Sedins give me Kessel any day , kid has shown he could be clutch in the playoff , I still remember him vs MTL with the bruins.

Absolutely. Can't believe just a month ago I was debating with my leaf fan cousin that he is better and more valuable than grabovski... yes, seriously, this was actually something I had to debate. The announcers said it best "Dustin Brown, who has been a part of every play..."
