Would Tyutin and Potter get it done for Kronwall?

WHat would it take to get him? THe question that you should be asking is at what point would it become a no-brainer for to get him? Up until that point, there is simply nothing that would make Detroit give him up. This is not EA sports. And at the point that it becomes a no brainer, would it still make sense for the Rangers?

Boy, if I had $1 for every time over the years I saw a "We need ......." post. Out of all the players that the Rangers "needed" over the years, they hardly ever got one.

Here you are comparing him to Beuk and you are offering Prucha, Backman and a pick? Ask yourself. Would you trade Beuk for that? And then ask yourself why on Earth would Detroit trade him?

I think Kronwall is already better than Beuk ever was.

Well, ask yourself this: If you were the Wings, would you really trade Kronwall for that package?

You don't players you "need" for the likes of Prucha, Backman (remember what it took to get him?) and a pick.

Our friendly rumor man has said the Rangers are looking at someone from the Sunshine State

Quote:
Enter Olli Jokinen. According to sources, Olli is the key target of the Sabres and the Flames, but dont count out the Rangers and even possibly...the Predators or the Penguins.

What are the Rangers looking at to get Jokinen?

Only way I could see that happening is if we sent a center back the other way.

Not sure where he'd fit into our lineup otherwise. Wing with Jagr I suppose?

I always assumed Jokinen was a better play maker than scorer, guess I was wrong.

However, like I said, I think one of Drury, Dubi, Anisimov would have to go back the other way. Florida isn't exactly deep at center if I recall.

So Drury - Gomez - Jokinen leaves us with no center for the 3rd line.

Maybe a massive deal!!

Jokinen + JBo

Drury + Sanguinetti + Tyutin + 1st 08 + 1st 09

JBo, jokinen

Eklund really annoys the **** out of me, i think he just puts names in a hat picks a player then picks a team, why would the Rangers need another center?

we would have to include a center in the deal, wont be Drury, wont be Gomez, better not be Dubinsky and Anisimov is unproven so where does Jokinen fit?

Eklund has been saying Jokinen to Buffalo for the past year and to Calgary the past 2 years where is Jokinen thats right in ****ing Florida. i'll admit i go to hockeybuzz but it aint to look at his made up rumors, its to read various blogs but i have not heard him get one right yet.

watch this in a couple of weeks it will be a major trade between the Rangers and Florida,

Bouwmeester and Jokinen
for
????????????????

i am going to watch for this because there i just made a trade rumor its an (RF4)

I know, I was just kidding, lol.

I don't think that deal would cut it. Quantity =/= Quality.

I already beat him to it. If we see it up there, we'll know it came from me.

I'll be completely honest here. Olli Jokinen was the last guy whom I thought would possibly go to the Rangers. He who must not be named completely blew my notion right out of the water.

Unless Florida eats Drury's contract, no thanks. A big "PASS" for me.

Another center? We've got way too many centers as it is. Like mentioned above, Drury would be the one to go but he has a NTC.

i would love for somebody to eat that albatross of a contract. heck I would trade drury for future considerations to just get rid of his contract. I love drury as a person and player, but that contract completely screws the team.

A question

Has Eklund EVER been right forecasting a trade? We bash the guy for years but I'm really curious has ever had an exclusive that panned out.

I think the predicted the Ryan Smyth trade to the Islanders. But as far as I know thats the only one he came up with that hadn't been telegraphed by a dozen other sources first.

i am pretty sure he reported that Smyth had resigned in Edmonton, the guy in my opinion is a con man, i have read some less than complimentary stories that show him for what he is, his real name and what he is really like.

i wont post his name because i am pretty sure the post would be deleted, it shouldn't matter he has his fans and those who are stupid enough to pay money to look at some stupid chart.

he always mentions his sources but his sources must be useless because they are never right.

The only reason any of his rumors are getting a second thought around here is because it's the off-season and there is nothing better to talk about. During hockey season, any posts mentioning an Eklund rumor would be met with replies full of:

Still doesn't give us anyone to QB the power play.

Staal - Liles
Girardi - Tyutin
Mara - Stuart

Although Stuart is pretty determined to stay in Detroit. They actually talked about it a bit on NHL live this afternoon.
