It's possible that Clarke could be in the market for a short term replacement, but not at the expense of Mike Richards. What would happen to Conroy when JR comes back in a month or so? I think the flyers might add a scoring winger, but that's the only acquisition I could see them making any time soon.
1) Flames are still in the playoff picture (5th in the west ahead of mighty Dallas), so they aren't about to get rid of Conroy.
2)The Blackhawks are DEAD LAST in the west, tied for second worst overall, and want to re-rebuild again (sorry, local angst), so I can totally see them sending Zhamnov to the east. However, the price will be more than a mid-level/prospect. Last I heard out of Vancouver was King adn Umberger or something like that. But, considering the Flyers are Phoenix East, it might happen. Then again, we are also the Philidelphia Hurricanes, so it may be Ronnie Franchise.
You say no to Conroy now but if the Flyers get him you'll be all over him like **** on fly's saying he's so underrated, don't lie
$*** on fly's? I think it has to be reversed.
Many people think he's overrated. If he came here and sucked, they would still say he's overrated. If he came here and tore up, then it's, "Hey wow, he's just as good as some people said he was." No reason to get all defensive, some people just don't want him here, especially since when JR comes back, Conroy will be like Comrie, playing in positions you don't normally play.
I have a lot of respect for Conroy. He would be a great third line center on any team. The problem is that we already have two great third line centers, three if you include Lapointe. JR will be back for the playoffs. Primeau is playing tomorrow. Richards is an awful lot for a player we dont really need.
