What would it take to get Smid?
A sammich from Schwartz's and he's yours to keep.

Way too much, how about 1/2 a sammich from Schwartz's and a dill pickle on the side?

Actually I'd have no problems moving Price for the right return.
But I'll lay low on that for now as I don't want to drive you to drinking...

I don't think I'd want Pitkanen. It sounds like he has some issues. Granted, I guess if you can steal a talented young player from another team, maybe you do that and take your chances on ironing out any issues. But I don't doubt the Oilers can do better if they move him, and I don't think I'd want to pay a fair non-steal price for him, so I wouldn't consider him a candidate for us to acquire.

We'll have quite a lot of what we need to choose from on D in the UFA market, so there isn't really much motivation to think up a big trade for a D.

I keep thinking Stoll is a good fit in Mtl.

Yeah, me too, but trades are so hard these days. After his recent mushy season, I doubt he signs a long-term deal with the Oilers, so maybe it will be a race to see if he regains form or hits UFA before Chipchura makes his mark or not.

Since we can't seem to come to a consensus, how about we give Komi the sandwich (since, you know, the poor boy looks like he's going to waste away over the summer ) and go after someone else?

Nice compromise

I'll go with mcphee and BG's opinion on trying to obtain Stoll.

I thought about Chipchura and clogging up the lineup but Stoll can do some specialty things, play the point, take big fo's, probably play the wing, I think.

I thought he looked good late in the year.

No Way would EDM make the trade. MONs 1st wont be very high, and such EDM cant expect to get an impact player. Yes, EDM is rebuilding, but they already have the pieces, and are just waiting for them to improve/gain experience.
