A must-win...

big game at home, etc., blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...

Seriously, though, Philly's a beatable team. It'll be interesting to see how this one plays out. Most interesting will be to see what happens if the Rangers fall behind early. Does Sather abandon everything? Further, does Sather start Macdonald instead of Hlavac, or does he go with the whole playing his ex-team crappola...

$10 says Dunham starts tonight. You know, because his back-to-back record is so stellar.

TRANSACTION WIRE:

* February 12: Rangers recalled defensemen Lawrence Nycholat and Fedor Tyutin from Hartford (AHL).

(it's in the game notes e-mail from nyrangers.com. i dont see the news on the main site, or on tsn yet, though. )

perhaps the rangers will scratch that purinton who doesn't deserve anymore icetime.

i hope dunham starts tonight he just had a week of and should be able to play on back to back nights

Im guessing poti isnt going to go tonite maybe due to back spasms

or maybe bouchard isnt feeling so well, he blocked that shot yesterday and didnt skate too much after it?

Puriton will probably be scratched as Brashear is a no go. Only Fedoruk for the Flyers.

im guessing tyutin will not be playing then since he didnt get in a game yet, both of them were most likely called up for pre-cautionary reasons and since we have roster room since malakhov, lindros, kasper, bure, and blackie are all on IR

last nites only scratch was macdonald so there are 2 spots

maybe poti and bouch are both hurting, or possibly purinton is going to get scratched, we will have to wait and see cause i havent seen anything saying poti or any other defensemen was hurting?

lets hope our defense is ok cause last nite de Vries and poti made a huge difference

arent we glad we got pushor!

Fire Sather and then Bobby Clarke

Hopefully they'll open it up a little tonight and we'll see some scoring. ESPN game so the announcers are going to ANNOY THE CRAP out of me.

Flyers 4 Rangers 1 with no fights - Purinton and Brashear both out of the lineup.

5-1 Flyers. And if it takes a 10-0 loss to get Sather out i am all for it. Shouldve happened when we lost 9-1 but Dolan has his head up his ass all day long.

Any amount of money once we fall behind Messier will be the guy taking the next face-off and getting over 17:00 of icetime.

we seem to be playing well against better teams lately.
don't forget we've already beaten burke once this year(albiet OT)
hopefully poti isnt a scratch, incase he needs to win it for us in OT, again

I said last night that we would beat the Devils, then take the two games vs. Philly and probably beat Ottawa, only to suffer another setback vs. the Isles. Im sticking by that.

Jussi Markannen in net! Has Sather finally come to his senses?

Is it me, or does it sound like there are, like, 12 fans at the game?

Pretty good effort in the 1st. They're playing solid D and finishing their checks. Jussi hasnt really been challenged too much, but he's made the saves when he had to. If they keep it up for 60 minutes, they'll come out with a win.

Flyers tie it up on the power play. Holik hauled down his man for no reason, which drew the penalty.
