Joking right? I'd never give up Langenbrunner for a crappy deal like that. No thanks.

Why the hell would the Devils want to get rid of their captain right now? He is still playing well and fits in nicely with the line up.

In seriousness I wouldn't expect Toronto to be that interested since they're heading into rebuild mode, however that offer is just brutal.

This is more like it. Langenrbunner would be a terrific fit in Vancouver, as his cycling game would mesh very well with the Sedin's. Bieksa is a top pairing defenseman when healthy, and the Devils need more of those.

I'd accept.

That's something I'd consider. Langenbrunner's experience would be a HUGE boost to the Canucks' line-up and he'd be a pretty good fit with the Sedins as well. My only concern is his age(34) and that he's signed for another three seasons, but I don't really see his play regressing too much where he'd be a liability.

Sorry, I thought it said January 24/1975(although that would make him 33). I just got off work and am hungry. Still, not a huge difference.

Edit: Who's that in your avatar? I've been trying to find a clip of that fight but can't remember who was in it.

Well said. I know it's very unlikely Jamie gets traded, but we we're discussing it on the Devs board and I was just curious about what we could actually get for him. Langenbrunner would fit in beautifully with the Canucks, better than Gionta which seems to be the standard NJ/Van trade on HF.

It's cool I just see a lot of people on this site add years to a players age or take away few years depending on the topic.

It's Hasim Rahman the boxer that upset Lennox Lewis a few years back. I think the picture was after the rematch when Lennox beat his ass and gave him a second head haha.

Jamie Vs Bieksa does look good value wise but Langenbrunner is wayyyyyyyyyy to valuable to our team. His contract is a absolute bargain, he's clutch and plays with passion. Granted, he did pull a "David Copperfield" during the playoffs but still... i'd hold on to him.

Gionta is the one that will get the boot before anyone else on the Devils roster... after Vishnevky of course
