It's sad how his rumours always have to include a Canadian team because I'm sure that's where a huge amount of his hits come from. Just follow any of his rumours and you'll always see stuff like "Calgary is still very much in the mix", "Montreal is making a late push", etc.

Hey maybe your just on a downslide, you had your year or two now it's time to rebuild.
When the Leafs with their AHL coach and AHLers and AHL goalies can manage to keep GA lower than the Sens, that's pretty insane.

Ottawa have skill alright - offensive 1-2-3 punch which kept them in the hunt. if they could only merge their team with the Ducks they'd have a powerhouse.

The same Rangers who play by the same rules as everyone else?

If you think Ottawa sucks thats great for you as your entitled to your opinion, my opinion is that you're dead wrong though.

You act as if Ottawa is the first team to lose in the Cup final and have a ****** year the following year, I can think of a few teams in that regard, especially one in particular

How many seasons has Jokinen had? 8 and been around 90 twice, Spezza has been around 90 3 times in 4 seasons. Not only that but has 7 years left on his contract at a great rate. Jokinen has 2 years left.

Spezza also has been playing with the likes of Dany Heatley, and Daniel Alfredsson.

In the past four seasons Jokinen leads his team be an average of 21 points. Just now that Weiss has been staying healthy and Horton is coming into his own does it seem like he might be getting some support and secondary scoring.

Stats aren't always there. While I would say Spezza has more in the tank it would be more to do with age than anything else. Spezza being 5 years younger. Even that migth be misleading.

Jokinen has not missed more than two games since 01-02 when he played in 78 for the Panthers. The year before he played all 82 for the Isles. Spezza has missed 35 games over the past three seasons.

Spectors site is a farce anyway! They are the worst kind of site since they steal articles from other site and manipulate them for the their "Loyal Readers".

Pitkanen + half the roster to Ottawa for Spezza!....Why in the **** would Spezza want to go to Edmonton who is obviously in a serious re-building mode.
No it's not, he's right most of the time and he actually says that it's NOT enough.

not only that but when it comes to rumors, he doesn't really put in his own input that much. He just kinda posts the rumors from newspapers.

don't shoot the messenger.

Agreed. Spectors is one of the first places I go, right after TSN, who may not have reported it yet.

Not really.

That team had Pronger playing at his absolute prime. He flat out made Lidstrom look like a school girl in the Edmonton-Detroit series.

The Oilers also loaded up with Samsonov, Hemsky, etc. they had some solid skill.

The Hurricanes honestly got lucky that Roloson got injured in game 1 or they wouldn't have won that series IMO.

The West is the tougher conference, I think the playoffs the last few years have attested to that. Carolina needed a full seven games to beat Edmonton even after taking out their no.1 goalie and having game 1 basically gift wrapped to them thanks to Conklin.

2006 Oilers would take the 2007 Senators in 5 or 6 games IMO. The Sens are too soft and Emery wasn't as good as Ward was in 2006 (kid got red hot).

Tom Preissing.

And as a Hab fan you should know all too well about having a downward spiral of a year, only to come back and do well eh? Although granted, it wasn't as big of one as ours, as it was just towards the end and in Feb. Also, didnt you guys lose an allstar d-man? Just saying.

Yeah we lost a "defenseman" who was never really much of one. And then we had our best year in about 15. Like I said before we will see if Ottawa can bounce back although I don't see it happening. And Preissing is not Pronger, get a clue.

Today means before the draft, or after the draft and prior to the UFA season, or after July 1, or just before training camp, or during training camp, or just before the season starts....

I mean hell, as long as Eklund gets it right at SOME point then he really is an Insider!

Does Spezza have a NTC? If he doesn't then he really doesn't have any say in the matter.
