Are shots really 7-0 in the second half?

Stupid work and games on "live commentary"

People defend their own team, it's a natural reaction. No matter how much of a slime ball Ronaldo is they are going to defend him.

Every team has it's share - France included (whom I support).

The irony is that the players who frequently dive end up drawing fewer calls once the officials catch on.

But it's a little sad when soccer fans get so focussed on a player diving (when it's such an entrenched part of the game) that, to listen to most, it seems to completely overshadow the play of a spectacular 23 year old that may well be the best in the world at this point.

Kinda like whining about Cindy Crosby no?

Maybe because someone has the ball way more often than others? or maybe all the eyes of the world are on him? Alright, what about Ballack who went down like he was shot vs Poland? Oh no, can't say anything about Ballack since Midget Ninja is going to ______ me...

I don't whine about Cindy. I just call him Cindy. Sometimes I whine about Cindy's agent whining about Cindy.

So C. Ronaldo or [insert talented player's name here] gets a pass on sportsmanship because he's supremely talented?

You can say whatever you want about Ballack. I may disagree. But I won't kick your ass.

Did you miss the part of my post where I said that every team and almost every player dives? If Ballack throws himself on the pitch when there is no foul, I wouldn't hesitate to say that he dove, ditto Thierry Henry etc...

They all do. And they should all be spanked for it.

Henry is good at it as well..

Ronalso is just an untalented diver. All his talent went into his soccer game..

Most about what I hear is way beyond "denying a free pass". It's actual bitterness.

It's a shame really. It's great to admire his soccer playing. What a fun and spectacular player to watch.

Yeah, that's the easy thing to say...because I've said that over and over again... and I've heard it a millions times.... but for next game, the "diving" will be brought up again.

Maybe because he does it more then everyone else? Every game he is flopping all over the place and it's embarrassing to watch.

Well, it would be intriguing to know which team would have to forfeit first
