WHL'ers in 2009

We all know the WHL has a great class of prospects getting drafted in 2009, but how would you rank them all??

Jimmy "Conway" Bubnick
Evander "The Real Deal" Kane
Ryan "Full" Howse
"Subway" Jared Cowen
"Patrik" Stefan Elliot
Damien "The Nadleh BAAAAD BOY" Ketlo
Landon "The Next Ray" Ferraro
Kellan "Mr.IllripupjuniorBforawhileeventhoughIcanmakeitin theWHL" Tochkin
"GREAT!" Scott Glennie
Brayden "Luke the Duke's bro" Schenn

Have Tochkin and Ketlo played a game in the WHL yet? I cant judge those 2 at all considering I have never heard anything about them. But from what I have seen from Schenn and Cowen these 2 guys stand above any other WHL draft eligibles next year by a fair margain.

From what I have heard and seen. Here is my order

1. Schenn
2. Cowen
3. Kane
4. Glennie
5. Elliot
6. Bubnick
7. Howse
8. Ferraro

I have never heard of Toshkin and Ketlo.

You don't need to make nickmanes for Cowen...his middle name (NELSON) is bad enough.

Jared "Nelson" Cowen

I like Elliot a lot... but I'm not sure where he'd belong among this groug... Cowen is awesome; he and Schenn will separate themselves further in the coming season, though I personally think.

neither does tyson barrie, curtis hamilton, adam hughesman, cody eakin, we will beat this dead horse for another year and see what cream rises to the top(cowen and schenn are in a league of their own, so far)

Ketlo is a highly touted goalie that played in the BCHL and movin to the DUB this coming year. drafted 7th round in the bantam draft I beleive in 06 but was a late bloomer And a Pierre McGuire SLEEPER PICK he was a final cut to the U-17s

Tochkin blew everyone out of the water in Major Midget, but took the Jr.B route in his first year

GP- 32 G- 24 A - 35 PTS - 59

He was a first round choice in the Bantam draft, but some question his attitude and say he is hard to coach cuz he is so good. Expect him in the WHL this coming year, he is the sleeper out of the whole 09 draft cuz he played Jr.B...he is 5'9 but still growing, cant wait to see how he pans out against all the other WHL first rounders

I was reffering to Kellan Tochkin (Forward) being 5'9

Colton Yellow Horn is 5'7 and he did GREAT in the Dub

Zack Boychuk is 5'7 too and he is a first rounder this year...

size is overrated in juniors buddy...

as for Damien Ketlo (Goalie) he is 6'0...

I'm not your buddy.
And Boychuk is 5'9 not 5'7. Double check your source.
and also Yellowhorn is 5'8. Again off by an inch.
Size isn't completely overrated. How many of these smaller guys go on to an NHL career? Not many, some do, most don't.

Off by ONE inch, so to declare a successful NHL career and a minor leaguer is borderlined by an INCH? come on buddy

you DO realize the hockey clubs show everyone "hockey heights"

where they add an inch or 2 to make people think they are bigger and more appealing to scouts, anyone remember Pat Kane?? he is not 5'10 and we all know that

yeah look at the Red Wings buddy, not too much size their and they won the Stanley Cup

Honestly... who cares?

The topic was about WHLers available for the draft in 2009; not about if Yellow Horn is 5'7" or 5'8".

Just let it go.

I'm calling you out on this one. Find where ever I put a Howse Vs. Rajala thread.

We all know Rajala is 10x the player Howse is so why would I even bother?

Where did I say YOU made a Rajala Vs Howse thread?

Nothin against Rajala, but dont be talkin bout mah boy Howse cuz I know you havent seen him play. And how are you going to compare the 2 when u havent seen Howse play? what u gonna compare them on? STATS? I was jus mentioning the possibility of COMPARING THEM...and you puttin down Howse? he is in the BEST Jr league, most defensive systems, and best overall so why dont you come to BC, watch a Bruins game and SEE how good Mr.Howse is

Or he could just go to ANY Bruins game and it doesn't have to be in BC.
And actually you did say he made one already,

That's where you said it. Keyword: ANOTHER.

And Howse isn't anything special. Saying he plays in a league with "the most defensive systems" makes no sense what so ever, what does "most defensive systems" even mean anyways?
He plays in a DEFENSIVE LEAGUE yes, but to say he plays in a league with "the most defensive systems" sounds absolutely stupid and makes no sense what so ever.

I've been to 6 WHL games this year actually. I've seen Ryan "Full" Howse play. He's nothing spectacular.

I want you to find the Howse vs Rajala thread.

Did Howse even make team Canada?

Find me this phantom Howse vs Rajala thread and I'll proudly take back what I said.

And how would you know he hasn't seen him play? Just because he may be in Illinois doesn't mean he hasn't had the chance to see him. Top 5? I hope you're joking, if by top 5 in the 15-20 range what you mean then yeah probably.
