It's a nice thought to have a seasoned AHL guy in Hamilton as your 6th or 7th option at C, but why in hell would Locke want to do that ? There are always going to be average minor league C's around if your team is that depleted.

He has to do what's best for his career and I believe he can play a style of hockey that he's best suited to there and lead a nice lifes style.

Sorry guys from the Hammer, but the Alps vs. Hamilton, hmm.

While I'd selfishly love to see him keep playing on Hamilton, it's certainly good for him to take advantage of any such opportunities he gets. I don't think we necessarily have an incoming crop of forwards that's going to make our guys like Locke and Milroy surplus in Hamilton immediately this season. But I don't see them having any chance of ever making the Habs either, so for sure they have to look out for their own interests, more power to them.

Would not be surprised. The money is likely to be 3 or 4 times what he gets in the AHL and add normally free apartment and car during the season, I would go!!

I thought he would go there sooner or later, smart move if he does. He could ask Eric Landry or Benoit Gratton what it's like over there. With Hamilton having Maxwell, White and Trotter, they could be our 1-2-3 centers next year away, so it might be time for Locke to move on anyways.

Locke has no future with the Habs so it would be in his best interests to find a way to GTFO of the system asap. Going to Switzerland may be just what the doctor ordered for him.

I think that we should keep him, he could be our 13/14th forward next year and he still has potential, when you look at what age Eric Perrin or Martin St-Louis started playing regulary in the NHL.
