If Beach is there at 10 would the Habs fans be willing to trade Maxwell to move up?

I could see how some teams might be tempted. For the Habs though, it would be a lateral move at best. In fact, it's a risky move that could backfire, imo.

As you likely know, the only reason Maxwell was not a top offensive player last year was because of a freak injury. Otherwise, his play has been improving. Still, I'm not sure he's even NHL calibre or ever will be despite an impressive skill set. Meanwhile, Beach with his on-ice and off-ice troubles is even less of a sure thing at the moment. Why do the trade then?

Boring as it may be, I see Timmins picking BPA at #25 and perhaps Gainey acquiring a low pick if someone the scouting team likes is still available.
